>>Besides, hasn't he threatened to quit after every tour since 1972?<<

No, not even once!

should you not agree, make sure you have a reliable source to quote. winking smiley

Timeisonourside.com, just after July 26 1972.

"Charlie: I got off the plane in '72 and said No fcking more because I don't actually like touring and I don't like living out of suitcases. I hate being away from home. I always do tours thinking they're the last one, and at the end of them I always leave the band."

well, thank you.
you came up with a pretty reliable source and i can now say that that woolley character of that little music webpage down under is in denial and living thirtyeight years in the past. grinning smiley

It's 5 years ago they released a new album and 4 years back they plated live.....give me a job like this

That's what he's said. Even if he wanted to quit, there's no need to because the band is so inactive.

Plus I think he realized that getting out of the house and being active would do him some good. After his cancer treatment, he realized that lounging around the house too much would only slow him down quicker.

It's all (Stones) propaganda to promote EOMS and the upcoming 50th Birthday Tour (2011-2012).

Jeeeezzz, another conspiracy theorist!
In case you didn't get it, it's that Australian journalist, with the silly wig and wolly name - Cashmere - that lashed out yet another story full of lies. That's a proven fact and only idiots will even try to discuss that.

I'm jumping in here unasked, but, WTF.
I think he is actually taking to task Mr. Fancyman's statement,

"It's all (Stones) propaganda to promote EOMS and the upcoming 50th Birthday Tour (2011-2012)."

I agree that is a moronic observation.

No no ,Palace she didn't mean you.

Addicted was at Mr.Fancyman's (indeed moronic) assumption that it could be some promotion.

but jeeeezz, after all the worldwide media buzz by UMG and the Stones personaly - how could anyone think that Charlie story is promotion?

not fancy style at all, Mr.Fancyman! eye rolling smiley
