green day, taj majal and even keith urban played some inspired covers. sheryl crow really dropped the ball, though. too laid back and just weak performannce . given fact she played with leavell and bramhall shouldve been better. very uninspired performance. didnt rock and didnt roll, was just there.

I thought the 'sound' was good, and if I had never heard it before, I would have loved it.
But compared to the Stones, no intensity at all.

Sheryl was awful. They should have let Queen Latifah sing it. At least she would have given it some soul.

ADTL played in a funky groove? It´s a @#$%& rocker!
The weakest performance of the 3, the drummer missing the
hi-hat like Charlie was embarrassing.

amen to that, bro or sis. crow's vocals were just so lazy. booooring. that song is a rocker. not a laid back groovy sing. shes just lazy. hated that version. phoned it in. no soul there to plunder. wake up sheryl. lazy girl.

Weak. Too slow. The band is good. Sheryl is just...very unconvincing.

Yeah, the weakest performance of all of them so far.

It's ok, just another cover version.

but it just goes to show - ya can't substitute the Stones.

i'll have to watch it again but it seemed like she forget a few lines and
just mumbled her way through it.

my overall opinion of SC: generally like her...used to like her more...always thought
it was weird how quickly she wormed her way into the Stones' circles...most likely
because she's attractive, female..and a fan. Seems she sleepwalks thru her
performances. I remember her first tour after her first album ..she got bored
playing her MAJOR hit "All I Wanna Do" and would either leave it off the setlist or
completely rearrange it unitl it was unrecognizeable. I thought that was unfair to
her fans.

I agree, it was as if she was on a double dose of ludes...And of ALL songs to slow to a crawl....by the way, did anyone notice her reference to playing with the Stones in 1995 in the States? When was THAT? They were on Tour in 1994 and I thought the European leg of Voodoo Lounge would have been in 1995, right??

Sheryl Crow is one of those names you could risk to hear over the sound system in any bar, shop, or on the radio, these days.

if Sheryl Crow looked like Susan Boyle...we wouldn't even know who Sheryl Crow was.

Yes, I think you're right NEOCAN; she got the year wrong. How can you forget the YEAR you played with the Stones??
I hated her when she first came out with " All I Wanna Do"....how simplistic and I thought her voice was just a terrible whine. Then I noticed she was a decent guitar player, bass and rhythm...not stellar but ok enough to play with some great musicians. What do the real guitarists here think of her playing?

Re: sheryl crow

I noticed during the interview that she got the year wrong. But then again, we the fans obsess about our group, and know the year of what song, what album, what tour. It all sticks out in our minds and in some cases it's easier to remember because of things that were happening in our lives when these things came out.
At least she got it close! But yeah, seems you'd remember that right? Since it was at the start of your career.

I love Sheryl Crow and anything she does is OK with me.

that was okay (don't care for her music, but she is all kinds of hot!). i'd rather the musicians do something a bit different with the songs anyway, rather than just be a xerox band. (taj mahal did a nice bit with shine a light, for example.)

they should have had pussy galore reunite!

My point exactly, TUMBLINGDICE! If Mick called me in the middle of the night I think I'd KNOW his voice from that of an imitator!! She actually hung up on him the first time...DING A LING! I think she's tough and a survivor, having been cured from breast cancer but I have the impression that her opinion of herself may be a bit overblown.
