I've seen some mention Following The River as a favorite.....I only got to hear the part before it cut off but I didn't really get into it by that point. Does it take off after that or is it more of the same? Is it one that grows on you maybe?

I´m sorry for Following The River being cut off, there´s a computer that keeps track of time, and it shows no mercy. We thought we were safe regarding the time, but... Anyway, thanks to all that listened, I hope you had a great time, even though you had to listen to some swedish. You did´nt miss anything you did´nt already know about Exile.

Yep, that´s right, we picked all the "old" Exile stuff from the new remaster. Besides that we played stuff from Ladies and Gentlemen, Keep Your Motor Runnin`, Exile On Main Street Blues, Taxile On Main Street, Acoustic Motherphuckers etc.

Just seen the documentary Stones in Exile on Dutch tv, during more than one hour (no commercials in between). Really good and interesting. This was a Stones day in optima forma (Exile deluxe release, Swedish Stones/Exile on the radio and Stones in Exile on Dutch tv!).

Bought the box today + the 2CD version cos box won't fit in CD collection. The prev unreleased songs are ordered in a different way: tha's a bit odd.

But to answer ur question: At first I thought it was a bit too sweet, but it get better and better and sticks on you like an old fashioned Solomon Burke song. The newly dubbed vox of Liza and Cindy would not have been out of place on the original Exile.
If I should point out a minus it would be the string arrangement. Guess that's what makes it that sweet.

BTW jut finished watching the docu Stones in Exile on Dutch TV: fantastic stuff. It's been a great day!!!

I missed it, guess i will have to wait until june for the dvd unless the show gets a rerun, was at a party set my dvdr and nothing happened , bummer

A way on getting round that is to order online through Badlands.

From past experience, if you order a new release in advance there's a very good chance it'll actually be despatched on the Friday before it comes out.

My copy arrived this morning. After that taster last night I couldnt have got through the weekend without it.
