Jep, with French ears it may sound a bit strange. But if you know some German and a bit of English, then you may get what they are talking about. My native language is Swedish and I have been travelling in Holland and Germany a lot and I have not been learning any German in school, but still when Dutch guys or German guys talking to each other, then I can follow what they are talking about

Maybe I got it out a bit twisted. My point was that I am Swedish and I have not studied either Dutch or German in school. But when a German guy talks to another German, then I can understand what they are talking about. Same thing with two Dutch guys talking to each other, I get what they are talking about as well.
The point is that a lot och European languages has the same origin. So to understand what the two Stones Vikings are talking about should not be that difficult
