Quite interesting to compare it to the outtakes on the "Exile On Main Street Blues" bootleg, and hear the differences.

Dutch does sound as a mix of English & German to my French ears but Swedish is kinda special ,isn't it ?

Jep, with French ears it may sound a bit strange. But if you know some German and a bit of English, then you may get what they are talking about. My native language is Swedish and I have been travelling in Holland and Germany a lot and I have not been learning any German in school, but still when Dutch guys or German guys talking to each other, then I can follow what they are talking about smiling smiley

Is this Happy from Ladies and Gentlemen? Sounds a bit different to what I've heard, but awesome nonetheless!

Swedish sounds like Turkish. Funny. Now they're playing I'm Not Signifying instead of I Ain't Signifying. Jagger trying to sing through his nosewinking smiley.

The connection is fine, Swedish friends. Rock on!

Maybe I got it out a bit twisted. My point was that I am Swedish and I have not studied either Dutch or German in school. But when a German guy talks to another German, then I can understand what they are talking about. Same thing with two Dutch guys talking to each other, I get what they are talking about as well.

The point is that a lot och European languages has the same origin. So to understand what the two Stones Vikings are talking about should not be that difficult

The preview clips and the existing outtake didnt do that song justice. Superb.

Swedish, Dutch, German: German languages
French: Roman language (from Latin)
English: Mixed German/Roman language (thanks to William the Conqueror, he brought the Normands in and they talked French, so the British are also from French blood and language. I thought Keith's mother had a French last name. Keith is half French, you can see it toocool smiley. Mick is more German (Anglo-Saxon)

Compared to this finished version the outtake sounds like an informal run-though. Not bad at all, but this new version is the real deal.

Makes one wonder how many more finished versions of half- or even lesser finished outtakes we know from boots like this Signifying are in the vaults

Its such a pity that Keith lost THAT voice!!! I probably like this version of Soul Survivor more than Mick vocals version.

Last half hour now, redsock.

Long time since I've enjoyed a radio show so much. An absolute treat, great choice of Exile era studio and live bootleg cuts, the remastered Exile songs sound incredible and the 'new' songs are, without exception, even better than I imagined.
