Good idea they had to associate the photos from the Exile period-I was very worried we had to deal with another unadventurous video -although they could have add something else .

Nicely done it really gets you into the Exile atmosphere, a bit too much snippets to look to them all in ones but that will keep the video fun for a while every time I discover something new

As for the song, yeah it's growing on me. The guitars are perfect. But why do I feel as though the vocals are Jagger solo?

Oh well.......I'll give it time to grow on me some more.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but the song is boring and so is the video,this doesn't sound like an exile era recording,but rather like a reject from one of Mick's solo opus.IMO..

All that WONDERFUL FOOTAGE too. Forcing the clips into little boxes attempting to echo the EOMS cover quickly becomes coy gimmicky and visually monotonous.

They could have used the little frames once or twice. The rest of the time, they should have have edited the excellent clips full frame.

Just my opinion.

I agree with you, schillid, that they could have used the footage at least partly full size and at a slower pace. But I still think the video looks good and fits the theme.

Wyman and Taylor are visible, though not as much as Mick and Keith.

Let's face it - they could have really stuffed this up!

Funny thing is that I was thinking of trying to do something similar with the cool Robert Frank footage that's on YouTube.... Taking all the little clips and put them into the corresponding locations. It's not interesting enough for an entire video

For me the video works. As a vehicle for the project. What kind of video did you have in mind Lorenz?

I like it because it follows the Exile feeling and I think it's the best think they could do.

Should have shown more of Bill and MT ,but has a good feel of the period IMHO.

If you listen carefully it's Tumbling Dice in a different note.
Not much and it's remastered like it would belong to an album at a much later date. Sorry, but this one is not very exaltic.
Especially the live versions of the overheard Tumbling dice remind me to this song.

I have the same question for all the people who find it "boring" or whatever; what expectations you have in your mind? What people really were looking after???

The video reminds me a bit of Dylan's "Series of Dreams" in its little efficiency and historical capturacy. You feel that you are wittnessing something significant and historical. The period. The feel. The Uniqueness.

Content is okay...
Always placing the clips in little boxes & frames constant movement overwhelm the interesting clips visually IMO...

Trying too hard too look like the cover of EOMS

Thank you for posting........I just cant get into this song. Mick's vocal and the production just seem to take away any Exile vibe the song may have once had.
