I'm Gonna Drive

While listening to 'I'm Gonna Drive' I noticed one thing -it's stated everywhere on the net that Keith Richards does backup vocals, but it clearly is Ronnie. Am I hearing ghosts?

No you don`t hearing ghosts, but i think it`s both Ronnie and Keith on the backup vocals.
Great song btw

I always thought it was Mick purposely trying to sound like Keith.

It´s both, but Ronnie is clearly audible.

Ok so maybe it's Ronnie trying to sound like Mick trying to sound like Keith.
Just listened to it again and yeah it's gotta be Ronnie.

It's Ronnie. No Keith on backing vox, just Ronnie.

Yes, that's definitely Ronnie alone. With a good harmony btw.
Again I notice though how the Keith of today just can't let Ronnie solo in peace. It's after the first time that Ron's vocal shows up; I would say it is pretty certain that the two electrics were cut live together. Ron clearly lays out to let Keith take one; then it is his turn, he starts laying it down, and don't you know it - here comes Keith climbing up the register, walking over Ronnie's little moment. He always does this nowadays.

Listening to this song, made me realize why I don't think "Laugh I Nearly Died" is really THAT good. At first I thought right away that LIND was the best one off of ABB. But something was bothering me about the song; could not put my finger on it. Then I realized that it is this kind of piling on of world weary traveller telling that Jagger does really well; but a bit too often. "Wandering Spirit", I Go Wild" towards the end, "Im Gonna Drive". I don't know..maybe no one else feels it, but they all come on as chips off the same block to me.

I have to correct myself, it`s only Ronnie on it. Respond without listening, learning all the time spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
