Thank you Mr. Honestestman for your picture posts, especially interesting are the (seemingly rare) ones of the original Stones, never have seen most of the ones that you post. Sorry for not commenting more, but they sure are appreciated very much!

Well, the Rolling Stones Monthly Book obviously had lots of fun coming up with new situations to put them in and new silly things for them to do and wear each month. II wonder whose job it was to invent those? I like the one of Bill as the Old Bill (police) and the one of them all at sea (does the book say where that was?) But one of the things I enjoy most about these shots is how often Ian Stewart appears in them.

When I've decided to try to get the whole collection, I was just thinkin' , well I will just get me an issue, and after I'll see...
These Monthly books and the same goes for the other Fabulous Band of that decade which had their own Monthly Books too
are not only just some others cheap books for fans, but now I think they could be rated
as real collectibles as either the pictures or the reviews are quite unique even if for some of them it's not quite serious, it's really for me who like magazines and books, one of the best items I've ever seen and It's my pleasure to share some part with ya and also if you could or if you would, go for them when you see one surface you won't regret it.
One last thing , there was no binding for them, so I've decided to try to catch somethin' that could fit and fortunately, some already exist for the Fab Four, I've just had to tell the seller to add these writings instead...and I'm satisfied !

Getting a trim from Keith makes Charlie look evil.

Seeing these pix is a little peek at early Stones history...priceless! Can't help but be partial to the early Brian Jones pix, especially with his teardrop. I think that guitar had a very distinct sound.

Does the RS Monthly Book credit any individual photographers? I'd guess it doesn't, but I've been thinking for some time that quite a few of those shots look like they might have been taken by Bob Bonis - the one of Mick at the pool, Keith cutting Charlie's hair, the whole "bowling Stones" set - they are all like similar shots of similar occasions in "Road manager Bob's" recent book.

The answer is nope ! Like most of the magazines from this era and the early 70's.
Indeed you're right, there's a few shots who could be credited to Bonis, some others from Stu and probably some others from the STONES themselves (Bill & Brian), but mainly it's a mess to figure out who shot who and I repeat it is not mentionned unfortunately...
