The Biggest Bang at Paradiso Amsterdam!

As from 27 July the Rolling Stones Biggest Bang DVD box will be available in shops all over Europe.
For those who cannot wait : Universal Music is organizing a pre viewing for fans in Amsterdam on Sunday 22 July.
The Biggest Bang will be shown on the big screen of Paradiso’s main hall!
Doors open at 3 pm, the viewing starts at 4 pm (local time). There is a Stones fair .
Free entrance !

The Biggest Bang DVD box will already be available at Paradiso, at a lower price. Buyers will be given a free collectible item!

Ha ha! Like we ever get anything same price as US.

In the UK the RRP is UK£40 - that's US$80. You can buy it for the reduced price of £32 though if you look around - that's $62!

That's odd, because concert tickets for the stones were more in the states

its always cheaper in the US because of the Best Buy deal

CDs are far cheaper in the US than they are in Europe.

Basically, the retail price for a CD in the US in dollars is what we pay in pounds, so when you realise that its $2 = £1, thats quite a difference

OK I get it, I guess I have to consider myself lucky, as far as the CD/DVD market goes.
But here is one I don't get, my band has a CD we are selling Thru CD Baby (an indie distributor) for $12.99 and it's downloadable on many sites including i-tunes and Rhapsidy for about $10. There are two companies advertising our CD as rare and selling it for $38. I guess someone just might buy it, even for that price.

I have been told that everyone who buys the DVD at Paradiso will receive a collectible item.

I'll be there, but I'll leave the DVDs alone if they are E50. Collectable extra or not....it's very likely rubbish anyway.

There is a jingle on Arrow Classic Rock Radio on air.

Can anyone tell me the name of the bar just off of Leidseplein that has "Voodoo Lounge" sign over the entrance to the toilets? I think they had US license plates hanging on the walls. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the Black & White Cafe? It will close down pretty soon, the owner is trying to sell it, he is going on a well-deserved early retirement.

Instead you had better go to the Last Waterhole. It will be a good replacement.

It's not Black & White but it's just around the corner from there.
