I only got to see Metallica this year (I shouldn't say "only" though, it was my first time getting to see my second favorite band in concert and they shattered my being!). Some people want me to go see Megadeath on the 5th..but I dunno.. It's in a bad part of town and I dunno if Mustaine is worth getting stabbed over. Anyone see them this year offer input on the matter?
But to make up for my dry year, I'm going to see Star Wars: A Musical Journey on December 10th! It's going to be @#$%& amazing, I seriously can't wait. The only thing I like more than the Stones is Star Wars (and John Williams), and I ain't ashamed to admit it : D
i saw megadeth in 2000 and 2007. both shows were great. not sure if you are a megadeth fan but if you thought metallica was good mustaine and his band will destroy your mind, especially if you haven't heard the newer stuff

Went to the Shepherds Bush Empire yesterday night and saw among others, the "new" Amen Corner, the Animals, Spencer Davis, and the Troggs. What a great gig, and I'm going to take this opportunity of heaping praise upon these people for still being out there and performing.
Mick Taylor + The Dibbs John Legend + Laura Izibor + Vaughn Anthony The Answer + Dajana Loves Paisley Asia (Orginal Line-Up) Jackson Browne Papa Roach + Filter + In This Moment John Waite + The Ruby Sea Peter Green + Trashville Y & T + Bad Dog Bites + Scavanger Brian Wilson Tesla + Heaven's Basement Donna Summer The Poodles + Dynazty Amorphis + Before The Dawn + Amoral Anna Maria Kaufmann + Franco Leon
Both great gigs and both bands very affable after the shows. Morrissey chose Mott's "Seadiver" for his Desert Island Discs on Sunday - now there's a man of wealth and taste...
Tom Petty (snore) Steve Winwood (as Tom Petty's opener...and much more interesting than Petty) Buddy Guy (always entertaining) Mike Peters (of The Alarm) a guy who loves music and playing his heart out David Byrne - weird and wonderful Elvis Costello and the Imposters - in a TV studio Robert Cray (sounding better than any other time I have seen him) George Clinton and P-Funk (hey, it was a free show with great musicianship)!
