Has anyone had any luck booking hotels in Cardiff? I just tried to book a room for one night and there was nothing available at a decent price

Cardiff is small and hotels are very expensive. As soon as the date was announced I booked a room (£75) as I knew it would be near on impossible if I left it too long.

Got a Travelodge, booked, just outside the city centre, just after i booked the tickets, on friday morning.
As expected the city centre Travelodge, was fully booked.
