I'm surprised these shows are booked so late. There's pretty much a five month gap between their last American shows and these. At this point, I guess they can add additional American shows,do some more European shows then hit the Far East or perhaps some South American stadium shows. Looking at how spread out the Australia/NZ shows are, I'm sure they're anticipating adding extra nights at some of the venues.

There are rumours of South America in November.

Yeah, a bit dissapointed it will take them so long before they play here... Why is it that a lot of big bands will play all over the world with sometimes multiple legs before they play there home country?

Maybe, just maybe because they want to give their best performance in their own back yard?

Or more likely because the routing makes utter sense

Doesn't it seem logical to end your performing artist career on your home turf?

great news! AC DC should always play australia and scotland.

Well this marks the first ever stadium tour of the bands original country of residence.What a difference to the SUL tour where they played multiple arena shows.Eight years off makes the punters hungry for more.It's funny how they can do this now and they would have struggled in 1996.

This marks the first time they've done stadiums in North America, too. I'm also amazed at their popularity now versus SUL. After their first Vancouver GM Place show of 15000 sold out in a few minutes I didn't think their upcoming show at BC Place with 55000 would have come anywhere near selling out but it sold out in a matter of minutes, too.

they've added one new song to the stadium setlist ...

Aside from whats mentioned above, as its a stadium tour there arent that many places where you can play outdoors in February and bank on having both availability of stadia and good weather.

Next weeks they will announce the definitive latinamerican dates, No Chile shows but yes in Lima Perú!

Argentina and Brasil are safe, but the last word is in Mexico, the expensive ticket prices in all America.

Those dates are REALLY spread out. I think that they are anticipating a number of additional shows in AU/NZ. I suppose that they could do Tokyo and other Asian countries in January and then close at home in Feb/Mar. Pretty nice way to end the tour
