I will always have a place in my heart for this record because when I first got into the band the excitement and aggressive playing really clicked with me.

That said, I have not heard Hawaii '66 or Paris '66 or St Kila (where is that?) and have little doubt that w/o the studio nonsense they are even better.

Some of the songs are played fast, other than that, I see no connection to punk. Very very bad recording, bad mix...and supposedly some songs not really live.

I still remember being hugely disappointed when I bought it when I first got into the Stones in the early 70s. I re-listened recently, while organizing some of my old vinyl, and the reaction was the same.

Ah, thank you and please excuse my ignorance. A suburb of Melbourne
is sounding pretty good when it is freakin 35 degrees in April in NY.

I acknowledge all the faults with this record and God knows I'd never compare
it to Ya Ya's, but, for me personally, I can still listen to it and enjoy it for what it and thats all you can really ask.
