with love you live they could add more selections from the El Mocambo gigs
TOTALLY AGREE. MAKE IT A SEPARATE DISC AND ADD MORE SONGS FROM THE BIG SHOW TO THE LYL SEQUENCE.
still life add some uncut selections from the let's spend the night together movie
THE KING BISQUIT RECORDINGS WOULD BE A BETTER SONIC MATCH. RIGHT IDEA THOUGH. ALSO THE BEAST OF BURDEN B-SIDE. ALL EDITED INTO SOME SEMBLANCE OF THEIR ORIGINAL POSITIONING IN THE SHOWS.
never really liked flashpoint , atlantic city concert should replace it.
THERE ARE A BUNDLE OF B-SIDES FROM THIS COLLECTION WHICH COULD FIND THEIR WAY TO THE APPROPRIATE CONTEXT. LIKEWISE AT LEAST ONE OF THE TWO EXTRA "SEXDRIVE" MIXES.
stripped add the songs that were used on the cd singles
YUP, PLUS ONE OR TWO SURPRISES THAT LEAKED OUT AS QUALITY BOOTS.
no security - i preffer the bridges to babylon dvd audio
AND EXTRA SONGS THEREFROM
live licks is a trainwreck , they need to re-edit the entire compilation
IT WAS A DASHED OFF FOURTH QUARTER FILLER WHEN THE BOYS COULDN'T DELIVER ABB IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. SONICALLY IT'S SWELL BUT THE EDITS ARE PURE FAN-ABUSE.
The fortunate thing about SAL is it's already out and won't be reissued. And I would not buy it again. Why does it get bad press? Because it's not very good, that's why. If I had my way I would have just gotten the single edition. But no, I had to get the double and have even more bad performances to listen to. Yes there are some good tracks on it but overall it's a dud of a live album, the last half especially.
I could see Still Life being better if they put more tunes on it, made it a double album on one disc - or an actual double. There are a lot of songs they could have put on it. And I would prefer Beast Of Burden was left off since it sucks. But that's just me.
Flashpoint...I would prefer the B-sides over Ruby Tuesday, RAAHP, Little Red Rooster but that will never happen - the B-sides would be cool though. I still find it amazing they left IJWTMLTY off and put one of those three above mentioned on.
Licks - yeah, better editing.
No Security - it would be cool if they put LSTNT from that tour on the album - because it was so good. A few others but overall I have always liked NO.
Stripped - absolutely - put the B-sides on there plus whatever else was finished for it (Honest I Do). Why the hell not? @#$%&.
I believe they are pulling the same routine as what happened in the mid 1990s where they focused mostly on studio albums and didn't release live albums and compilations till 4 or 5 years later.
