Well...sorry carlitos, but the stage wont be in the middle/center of the stadium, it will be on one end.

But on the 360° you're correct. The "giant sphere" is just a rumour, but it will be a 360°-stage without sight limitations - nothing blocking the view. It could be something new using glass or similar see-through material for the projections and videos.

The concerts in Barcelona are likely to happen in the Olypmpic Stadium, not Camp Nou.

Can you people please stop posting wrong dates?

First of all, it is very unlikely that the Barcelona concerts will be at Camp Nou, as they are going to rehearse for at least a week in the stadium and that is not possible at Camp Nou.

Second, there is no way that they are going to play two days in Dublin and the next day in Glasgow, without any space for a third Dublin show. More than that, 3 days in a row are highly unlikely.

Third: There won't be a show in Vienna. Definetely not this year.

Fourth: There is absolutely NO WAY that the Munich show is in the Allianz Arena. It will be at the old Olympic Stadium, as there are contractual obligations that all stadium shows in Munich have to be at the Olympic Stadium (contracts between the City of Munich and the Owners of the Allianz Arena.

Fifth: Due to the size and construction of the stage, some other stadiums on the list above are out of the game.

EDIT: I just found more bullshit on that list - two shows in Berlin at the Olympic Stadium? The last two shows there in 1993 and 2005 were not even sold out. And these were single shows with a 12 year gap...

EDIT 2: And a show in Sicily? Never! No promoter or manager of a successful band would like to have to deal with the "local authorities" there.

The problem is that these dates are coming directly from ticket touts and agencies that are already selling tickets for these "shows" (and ripping off people). The more these wrong dates are spread the more people are mislead.

And what's the use of posting stuff that is definetely wrong? Why not check it before posting?

I am not against posting rumours. I am against googling for "U2 Tour 2009" and then simply copying and pasting whatever comes up before even checking a second source.

There is a difference between a rumour and rubbish. Eg.:

The stadium in Paris is indeed blocked/ reserved for concerts on those dates. That makes it a rumour.

In Berlin, the World Athletic Games will be held at the Olympic stadium til August 23rd. That makes the Berlin dates (Aug 21st and 22nd) complete rubbish.

Even U2 themselves issued a statement on their website and to the press warning people that those dates were made up and some that some ticket brokers were trying to cash in on this.

So I stand against someone (not only you!) posting this made-up list again and again every day here or on other boards.

Two points:
It's almost sure Barcelona gigs will be in Camp Nou (Source FC Barcelona employee)
Second point, Sevilla doesn't have Olimpic Stadium. It should be Cartuja Stadium as Sevilla NEVER host an Olimpic Game.

That makes around an audience of 2.5 millions at least. Not bad.

Madonna plays Oslo Valle Hovin July 29th and 30 th so something must be wrong.

Surprise, surprise - something is wrong with Oslo also.

On that list there are about 5 dates that could be correct (That is Barcelona -not sure about the exact date and location-, Sevilla, Paris, ). The rest is rubbish, bullshit, nonsense.

No need to discuss anything because of that list.

Anyway, there are some ticket brokers who claim to have special contingents for those shows, due to especially good connections with venues and local promoters.
And they are selling tickets to people who are afraid not to get a ticket when the presale or sale is actually starting or they bought tickets as christmas presents.

And these criminals benefited greatly from people posting the list above all over the net since last September.

By the way, if anybody from outside of Germany is planning to come over to see U2 play here or in Amsterdam (which is in the Netherlands, of course, but I live near the border), I could go to the box office (good friends working there) and organize tickets for them (face value of course).

Its more than 'highly possible', Papo. Its confirmed in a Scottish newspaper story today,in the same story which also leaked the news of the Springsteen show at the same venue (Hampden Park), as well as the ticket prices and the onsale date.
