Norwegian fiddler Hallvard T. Björgum got help from some of his friends when recording his new album, "Peace Will Come". (Named after an old Hank Williams song.)
The album was recorded, for the most part, in NYC about a year ago. Lisa Fischer sings on six tracks, Blondie Chaplin sings, plays drums and guitar on several tracks.

Garth Hudson plays keyboards, Keith Lentin bass, Eric Andersen sings and plays the guitar, and there's just a lot of great musicians participating.
There's also a song recorded in Rick Danko's living room in Woodstock. He sings beautifully and wore a "morning gown" for the recording session... Although it was done on a cassette redorder, the quality's good.
IORR participation:
Dandelion Powderman's wife did the art work for the cover. Most importantly: Baboon Bro helped us big time, and he's gonna get the very first copy of the CD.
Release date is March 15th.

It's a fine album, although I'm too involved to take advice from...
But especially the participation of Rick Danko moves me. And Lisa Fischer's performance, in particular on two songs, also brings out tears in this old face. Just because it sounds incredibly beautiful - and amazingly different.

Just ordered mine straight from the record company - took a bit to figure out A). how to translate to English (missed the button originally), and . assumed what was needed on the credit card screen since that wasn't in English! LOL

Just went out for a coffee with Hallvard. He sends his best and even gave me an extra album to send to you, but I guess I was too late, then...
He's celebrating the great reviews the album got. Mostly 5 and 4 out of 6, so that's something to celebrate.
