funny! i just watched "keith richards: under review" and there are some clips that i think are derived the same way - quite fuzzy as a result (including stolen footage from four flicks - and the embarrassing cameo of me).
Wow! It's because of her and the smokin rendition she did in Foxboro '97 that I even remembered the song! She used to kill those high notes. These days, I don't think she has quite the same range as she did back then...
What does your age have to do with the price of beef in Australia?

At age 59 I've been there, done that, it wasn't boring at all, but I've had enough experience to only eat eye fillet when it comes to beef.
Just had a listen to GS, Foxboro '97, 20 oct (don't have 21st) & again, it's her interpretation of the song that doesn't do it for me. I just don't care for the ornamentations she adds, it's too way over-the-top for me.
Singers improve with age, that's why opera singers voices don't mature till later on, Lisa's voice should still be as good as ever.
why do i always have to be the one that explains? i have enough on my plate here...

Who said that Lisa can't sing? I guess, some people critizise her "engagement" at Rolling Stones gigs because they'd love to see / hear the Stones without backing band. Just as they played at New York, May 2005.

Not saying she can't sing, but I don't like what she does with GS, IMO (& I'm turning 59 this week so my opinion is not humble) Merry laid the benchmark & I'm afraid Lisa, good as she is, doesn't cut it with this song.

It amazes me that with all that talent Lisa didn't develop a solo career. I expected something in the fashion of Cassandra Wilson.
As for her contribution in the Stones, I simply love it. She and (Bernard) blends in JAgger voice in a superb way. Yes, the "raw" version is good, but the "chick" version is better!
By the way, was noticing the other day the gospel twist she gives to the "Every night" bit in Imagination from SAL - great!

She can sing I admitt that...... but I still hate her voice with passion. She ruin every Stones song she does back-up vocals to.

The only song on which I can't stand her backing vocals is Satisfaction, where you always hear that high-pitched 'Satisfaction' toward the end.

Well, I for one like her. I dig what she adds to Shelter, and I even liked her on Monkey Man in 1994. I don't know. Once there was one girl in the mix (without Cindy whats-her-face), it was just... better.
I mean, I've never been keen on the whole b/u singers for The STones, and how not-rock-and-roll it looks, but hey. It's all part of Mick's professionalism that he's held on to for 20 years. Right?
Her presence doesn't bug me nearly as much as seeing a guitar in Blondie's hands.

I agree I love lisa's voice she has the best Female voice in the world to me. But at the same time everyone has their own opinion.LISA YOU'RE THE BEST KEEP SINGING. I WILL NEVER CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT BEING A #1 LISA FISCHER FAN
