Not a snowballs chance in hell that he plays streets of philadelphia, or dancing in the dark for that matter(well doubtful on that one)

Born in the USA
Born in the USA
Born in the Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Springsteen is an East-Coast phenomenon in my opinion.

Doesn't quite 'jive' here on the West Coast (San Francisco)

Just a bit curious here. If Bruce was to play five songs, what
would your 5th prediction be?

It seems like a given that he'll play the new single, My Lucky Day. Why pass up the chance to promote the new single and album before an audience that large?

I don't see how he doesn't do Born To Run, either. That's probably his most well-known song other than Born In The USA. But I don't think he'll play Born in the USA, too many people interpret that song as being about mindless patriotism when its so not. It would be super cool if he played the slowed down acoustic version of Born In The USA, but I doubt that'll happen.

The other two are kind of a tossup, I think, but if I had to guess I'd say Thunder Road and Glory Days.

hey, think he'll stop and make one his cool political speeches?

now, i'm being sarcastic obviously, but if he really wanted to walk the walk, wouldn't he use this platform to bring his bigger message to the world? Or maybe explain his new Wal Mart gig? smiling smiley

Sorry, I just think Springsteen has become such a tool--like many other celebs who go public with their politics-- I liked his work, but his public blathering has become so defined that I can't separate the artist from the politician

but i'd have a lot more respect for him if he hijacked the show and did one of his Union speeched

yep, hopefully he won't turn it into a political thing - I don't think he's daft enough to. Thats why I reckon on Glory Days. Beer and reminiscing - rose tinted spectacles. All that kind of stuff.

Yeah that's why he's opening the tour in San Jose and never skips the bay area and usually does multiple shows in LA. Because he doesn't jive with the west coast.

Maybe the Boss will get REALLY political and do a cover of Sweet Neo Con.
I love the opening lyrics -

"You call yourself a Christian
I think that you're a hypocrite
You say you are a patriot
I think that you're a crock of shit"

The Stones had, out of all the recent Supe acts, the least amount of increase in record sales after playing the Supe.

Maybe because...everyone already had their hits comps? Ha ha. Or were the sales increase for A Bigger Bang only?

Ok,

The entire Superbowl Halftime show has evolved into a circus. And the halftime itself does last more than 20 minutes, which is more than annoying, and against the so-called official rules. Who really wants to see a bunch of punks running to midfield at halftime? It really alters the game more so than a timid referee.

"Hey, come over and watch the Superbowl with us" Screw that. The magic in the game is the game itself. I'd rather watch it alone and enjoy. One more thing, it is doesn't hurt to have an ACC tilt in mid afternoon. Anything is better than the unnerving pre-superbowl musical acts.
