I came acros these two great clips again. Does anybody know the reason behind this perfomance? I can't think of another time Jagger went up on stage and jam.
Who are the guys he is playing with?

Cheers,
Wuudy

Did you know these songs are available on Itunes? The weird thing is that if you search by Mick Jagger, they do not come up.

However, if you search for Mustique Blues Festival 2005, the album comes up. At the album level, the artist is identified as Various Artists. But, at the song level, it says the artist is Mick Jagger. Very weird.

I found these about a year ago. I think I was searching for cover versions of Going Down and stumbled on this.

Really? I thought it was ok. Maybe it's because it's Jagger and he sounds cool as always. It's a jam for sure but why do you think he "looks scared to death as to what theyll do next"?

What is he singing by the way on Dust My Broom? Highly improvised lyrics ;-)

because they as a band proved themselves unable to follow micks cues either explicit or implicit; mick just looks uncomfortable when he interacts with them, but absolutely rocks when he ignores the band. I didnt mean anything negative by it, in terms of mick, in fact its a testament to him that the songs came off so well.

I didn't read as negative but as very interesting because I didn't saw them missing his cues. Can give some more clear examples of the cues? I always find band interactions fascinating, espescially when it goes wrong :-)

Good to see Mick in this sort of setting - you can understand why he would normally not do this sort of thing though. Apart from the band, the lead falls out of his mic at around 1:20 on the second clip!

Mustique is inhabited by the rich & famous, the CD is of a benefit concert for a local school I believe.

Very good...better than YT....Good quality.

I got it off iTunes...it is cheaper....might even be tempted to get some more of them.
