Where was this mentioned ? I remember reading that Ronnie said that he'd managed to get Keith to approve the inclusion of the song by telling him that Mick neeeded a track to dance to or something like that ;-)

Quotegotdablouse Haha! I thought BG was the title of a new song ;-) Actually wasn't there a song with a similar sounding title in the "Hit the Wall" sessions? Bad Luck Getaway? So I was wrong, the song was called "Bad Luck Hideaway" (checked on )

Yep! Hope it's a good remix, like the "radio" version of D&G and not some kind of aimless track like those we got in droves in the 90s!

No offocial detailed credits given anywhere for the three remaining Stones. Some stuff was pieced together based on online credits like Qobuz, Ronnie on bass on DMTH for instance.

QuoteBlueTurns2Grey The AC Tape 19 (Michael Geary) includes only one version of Too Much Blood and that's the video edit, which is 4.01. If this really is the acetate version, than there's the wrong time on the label, for both songs, which happens often. Pardon my ignorance but is this Michael Geary chap? I did a search and only found mentioned here in relation to the Stones. Was he

QuoteIdorh It's really amazing how Keith can still play rhythm guitar so well with his rheumatoid fingers. It's not just playing, Keith also did a lot of work on important at zake. He even went to the studio at night. Further regarding Mick, Mick also worked very hard to ensure that the new drummer Steve put down more varied drumming. Because with the Winos it was a very monotonous

Still no news from my Carnaby Red and cs there is not what it used to be, took them a week to answer saying they were swamped and asking if I still needed help. I replied I did a week ago...no reply since. Given what they charge you'd think they could do better.

Just listened to an "It Must Be Hell" outtake (Version 1) from "Bird's Vault Vol.3" and the vocal sounds a lot better to my ears than what I remembered from the album. So I checked it out vs the CD version and it does sound less "compressed", hum...

Quoteliddas QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteMadMax Is that a MRX 100 on the rythm guitar? On Keith's guitar (left channel). Couldn't it be a electro harmonix electric mistress? C Not sure but they do seem to have dug out effects that they hadn't used in decades ! Same on WWW that has this flanger sounding effect.

Listened to it "by accident" yesterday while sifting through a folder of old outtakes, quite a strange song, pretty unique in the Stones' canon I must say ! Scaggs might well be playing lead guitar in the left channel (it stops when he sings) but there's also a rythm guitar in the right channel, would have to be Mick ? Sort of doubt this is an original though with these

QuoteHardRiffin Quotegotdablouse QuoteHardRiffin I really like also some Undercover's outtakes! From the original UC outtakes, could never make out the lyrics, sounded like "Still in Love", we then got a version called "Chainsaw Rocker" and we finally got a better version in 2014 and it's "actual" title : "You Better Stop That" : Maybe i&#

Quotebye bye johnny The Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds falls 2-3 in its second week, with 33,000 sold (down 65%). -- Billboard Top 200 - 2 to 3 in Top Album Sales (physical copies) but from 3 to 13 on the Bilboard Top 200 ("blended" sales). Guess that was to be expected with zero promotional activity and likely out of the Top 50 next week ?

The same thing happened to the guy who taped the Trabendo show and no amount of tweaking (in a studio I'd heard) could salvage it. You can't remove the distortion and restore what's gone or even remove it without removing the rest.

QuoteSteen G QuoteIdorh But we have to be honest , Keith has problems with his fingers due to rheumatism. It can be numb with him, but it still limits fluid and fast playing. It's not from today, it's been like that for years. I assume most of the long solos on HD are Ron's. Furthermore, I don't underestimate Keith he is extremely important for intros and melodies mix and rh

Yeah a third guitar would be cool like for Whip or Respectable...especially since Keith wasn't exactly very "active" the other day... That was indeed a cool solo by Ronnie, he's really recovered from his health issues, he was so-so in 2022 after carrying the guitars on stage since 2012, but he's back ! There is no "fuzz" to be heard in the bass solo, I

Yes, Watt didn't stop at the Glimmer Twins like others might have.. Another thing that struck me is that he had to be the one to suggest they finish DMTH together instead of Keith finishing it at home alone. Great idea and apparently they had a great time but why on earth couldn't the GTs just do it spontaneously?! It does show that there is a lot of "baggage", being "

You cannot be serious, comparing a guy who's been burnt out for years, if not decades, with the friggin' Rolling Stones who can still command the world's attention?! Anyway great article, massive respect to the guy, a modern gun slinger, no posing here, "results oriented", no wonder Keith took a liking to him! Can't wait to hear his work with Macca. There was
