Quotemaumau QuoteIrix Quoterolly you will find every data you can imagine about them. What are the correct data then for 'Nobody's Perfect' ? no mention of it Right, Aeppli hasn't updated his site yet since FFSO hit the wires and he's also missing the info from the studio logs that leaked last year according to ME and gave us this :

Didn't like it much at first but I gotta say it's pretty catchy ! More than anything on "Dirty Work" where it seems Mick thought it was his duty to bark his way around like there was no tomorrow !

Yeah it says "According to an indiscretion, it seems that Jagger has been in the area for months, guest of a large estate where he would be dedicating his time to compose the songs for his new album." So not specifically a "solo" album...

The Italian press is apparently reporting that Mick is working a new solo album in Sicily...a bit odd but that would pretty much put that ongoing "new album saga" to bed once and for all. Probably for the best at this point even though the songs will be missing Keith's more unusual chords, as seen in the "Mixed Emotions" writing sessions, but they were already mostly miss

Quote1963luca0 According to today's Italian press(ANSA), he's also working on his own new solo album, in Sicily. bye, Luca Do they have an online version ? Any chance there could some confusion he's working on a new album but a Stones rather than a solo one ? Having said that if he wants to get new music out sooner rather than later he's better be going the solo way !

What picture ? The one posted by Rockman ? I don't see anyone selling a picture for £120 and it would seem that "£120" results from a loss in resolution compared to the £420 "hammer price" (that's the price at which it sold, no ?) ?

It says £420 and not £120. Can't say the contents are too exciting ? Unlike say the FFSO series ;-)

According to Martin Elliot some "studio logs" appeared last year (not publicly though AFAIK) that shed some light on the 73/75 period, that's how some assumed dates got modified. As for the piano parts, it's possible they were redone at some point but on "Still in Love" it sounds exactly like the one in the instrumental version that was leaked 30+ years ago on &qu

QuoteGasLightStreet] It certainly has the sound of PRIMITIVE COOL vocally. There are nuances that he does in Kow Tow. Seeing that it appears to be from the July - August RPM sessions in 1985 and is clearly Charlie on drums and Ronnie's dangle playing, and knowing how DIRTY WORK turned out, it didn't fit at all. Yes Mick's singing on "Kow Tow" or "Say You Will"

Yeah it's hard to imagine a new album coming out the moment they're able to start playing shows again. They just waited too long waiting for some kind of magical inspiration they haven't had for decades instead of releasing enjoyable new music (like your average FFSO song or Wanna Tell The Truth, etc.. ) that would have pleased the fans and casual fans alike. Now if they do release

QuoteRip This re: Its Only Rock N Roll...what a gem.....and who the f can't hear Bowie on this track?...obvious to me he's on it. Only really obvious at the 4:07 mark...the rest of the time he's mostly overshadowed by Ronnie oddly enough...or not !

QuoteStoneZP Thanks BlueTurns2Grey for doing this and thanks to everyone who collaborated in making this list. Now on dbboots: Cool, a few things to fix if I may : - "Fast Talking, Slow Walking" is now known as a 1974 track - "Tell Her How It Is" should probably be shown as the vocal version of "Potted Shrimps" - Same for "Hands Off" and "It&#

What makes you think it wouldn't be the one and only Chuck Leavell who was at all these sessions who played the original parts ? As for an official release, no one knows for sure but it's possible they were all considered for the "Memory Hotel" project that they considered between 1999 and 2001, the best summary about what could have happened is here AFAIK, courtesy of &qu

Like I posted in Tell Me, it's always nice to see a detailed review, but this one has so many obvious errors (on which planet was SW released with "Giving it Up" or VL with "Ivy League" ?!) The author should have asked the author of the IORR thread he alludes to for a quick proofread. EDIT - Review has now been updated and the errors corrected, well done to the author

He's only really recognizable at 4:07 but it must be him before that too, strange Wood was made to be louder than him...Ronnie knows was he's doing behind his "goofy" approach ! Didn't ever think that version would make it out of the bag, thanks "CC" ;-)

Quotestickyfingers101 NYC's Penn Station sees 600,000 people PER DAY....EVERY DAY. Should Penn Station be "No Vax, No Entry" too? Everybody in the entire society will be subjected to un-vaccinated people every day once we get back to "normal"...what makes concert workers so special? we can't force people to get vaccinated, so my point remains: should we s

What nonsense...I've wasted enough time with this ridiculous lossy/lossless when we just got the best sounding outtakes in the history of boots (apart from possibly the Voodoo Series and the 2002 sessions) but these are NOT 128kbps MP3 files because you can hear encoding artifacts with that bitrate (much harder at 192, impossible at 320), like swishing cymbals and there is none of that here.

Yeah that was a good surprise of the set as I remembered the known versions from the "RCA sessions" as a bit of a bore. But I went back to them after getting this new set and was surprised to find that they already had a bit of reggae in them, not as fleshed out as this new version though.

Indeed ! As it turns out the "Big Truff" title has been around for decades, since 1985 to be precise as it appeared in the "Eat it (The well well book)" by Michael Kuhn (editor of the "Charlie is good tonight" fanzine) in the autumn of 1985. No guarantee it's "Dog Shit" but the fact that it was embellished like that with horns points to the addi
