Congratulations NZ - worthy winners. Final score line a little harsh on Australia but NZ have been outstanding all tournament. What a great tournament too - exciting matches, big crowds, massive improvements from the Tier 2 countries, great atmospheres at the fanzones. Even the weather was good! It's over to you Japan for 2019....

Still gutted about yesterday, but really proud of the way Wales have overcome the incredible number of injuries we've suffered to get as far as we did. Unfortunately, I think it caught up with us a little bit yesterday and we just fell that little bit short. Been some excellent quarter finals though - NZ were on fire yesterday and Argentina just keep on getting better. Scotland put an imm

I agree about O'Brien - a one week ban is a bit of a joke, especially as Ford and Gray have got 3 weeks and Tuilagi got 5 weeks!

Yes Crawdaddy, I still remember that fruitless night outside the Astoria very well! I must admit I'm a little sad the Pool stages are over - some great rugby played particularly by some of the Tier 2 nations. Obviously Japan made all the headlines - winning 3 games and still going out must be gutting - but well done to all the others, such as Uruguay, Namibia, Romania, Georgia, Canada etc

Been some great games this weekend. I'm still gutted about our defeat yesterday, but we're still there - another trip to Twickenham for the Quarter Final beckons!

Pumas were impressive at times earlier - Maradona seemed to enjoy! Well done Wales for getting to the quarters - that fact seems to be getting forgotten in the media coverage..

Another win for us last night - bruising encounter though! Fiji have improved a lot since the last World Cup. Enjoyed the other game too - thought Canada played some decent stuff at times against France.

Was at Twickenham last night and only now starting to get my voice back - totally worth it though! What a night! Massive game against Fiji coming up, with a short turnaround and an ever increasing injury list - can't wait though. Stones reference - good to hear "Start Me Up" being played before every game.

It'll be interesting to see how they do against Scotland tomorrow after such a short turnaround.

Well, we've had some great games already. Obviously the stars of the first couple of days are Japan - their victory over SA has really set the tournament alight. A mention must also go to Georgia who had a great victory over Tonga, but that was a bit overshadowed by Japan. Been a great atmosphere in Cardiff - went to the Uruguay game yesterday and was encouraging to see so many Uruguayan sup

This is possibly the most specialised post ever on here, but my beloved Bridgend Ravens won the Welsh Cup on Sunday and I haven't stopped smiling since! The fact that we were massive underdogs and I had a few quid on us at 18/1 was just an added bonus. Stones link - Brian Jones' aunty used to live in Bridgend!

Dydd Gwyl Dewi hapus - Happy Saint David's Day! And it is a happy day - good win against France yesterday! Nice to see the Welsh flag being flown outside the New York Stock Exchange and that St David's Day is being officially recognised by Wisconsin - well done Wisconsin! About time we had some recognition - when I'm abroad I spend most of my time trying to explain to people

Met both Ronnie and Keith at book signings in Piccadilly, after queuing for about 10 hours each time! Had a quick chat with Ronnie and a photo even though we weren't supposed to! Also spoke to Keith - eventually! After all that time waiting was determined to have some sort of conversation with him. No joy at first, and I just thought he was going to sign my book and move on to the next p

Quotelatebloomer Happy St. Davies Day, Welsh Stone. Will you be wearing a leek in your hat? No, just on my jacket! The boys always used to enjoy wearing one to school on St David's Day - handy to have something to munch on when you're hungry!! The girls though tended to have a daffodil pinned on their Welsh costumes.

Dydd Gwyl Dewi hapus i bawb - happy St David's day everybody!! Stones connection - check out Keith's family tree, and, of course, there's the man without whom we wouldn't have a Rolling Stones - Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones! Right, done my work spreading awareness of my country. Unfortunately we often get overlooked - does get a bit tiring when you're abroad trying to e

As someone who lived in Sheffield for a few years I find that really sad For those first 2 gigs, I had the rare pleasure of going to a Stones gig and not having to stay in a hotel after! Only ever happened 4 out of 53 times - the other 2 being when they played Cardiff
