QuoteMore Hot Rocks Butch Trucks said of Derek. "Derek is what Duane could of become". What a compliment! I have heard that which makes me wonder about Clapton supposedly removing Derek from his tour?

trucks is the greatest player on the planet. i vote you off the planet. you and derek cannot co-exist on this one. The hype didn't get past Clapton who dismissed him from his tour, still touting Derek's greatness as EC is a master of the b.s. game. What more can you tell us abot Clapton booting Trucks from his tour? I never heard this before.

I catch an Allmans show every year and they are always great. I have never seen them reading music and playing incompetently. Trucks and Haynes are great guitarists who rarely have a bad night.

Doxa, I think, made a good point about charity and helping those in need. Quoteflacnvinyl FYI, I have to call BS on your thread by title alone. We are the Stones CLIENTS. We buy what they sell. We are not spoiled, we are the reason they are wealthy beyond their teenage dreams. Yup.

Quote71Tele If they fought for lower ticket prices they must not have fought that hard. I would imagine you saying this dripping with sarcasm which would be thoroughly appropriate. It is The Stones that are spoiled. Surprise.

Yes there are people here and eleswhere speculating over who did it. The smart bet is on Bin laden inspired 'fellow travelers.' Yet we still need facts. Mathijis' statisitcs are misleading and oddly enough failed to mention non 'right wing' groups who have been historically active in the USA. I'll add that anti-abortion groups usually target an abortion provide

My heart goes out to those affected. They are in my prayers. Holy Spirit! The politics? Yes we should wait until we have more info but the best bet is obvious. Yet we should still refrain. . .. I did not think those who were pointing to the obvious were saying anything hateful though.

Can they get the money ? Yes probably. Should they do that to the people who supported them for 50 years ? Probably not. There comes a time when you should throw your fans a friggen bone man. Quotetreaclefingers QuoteMunichhilton QuotePromoman When, forty years from now, I'll tell my grand children that I got to see the real Rolling Stones live back in 2013 and paid $ 1000,- for the ticket, I'm sure that the first part will be the memorable part, as $ 1000 will probably just be enough for the parking fee at their night out. Your grandchildren will be far more interested

Quotewhitem8 The article, while sad and hard to read, also had some very poignant truths. It is a sad legacy for the end of their touring career to be charging so much for tickets. It is unnecessary. And reeks of greed and selfishness, which is a sad way to end career. I do want to go, but not sure I am willing to fork out the dough, perhaps one of the 85 dollar seats? Not sure yet. I have seen

I woke up at 6am my time to hear the announcement and get tix in case they went on sale that morning. I was there at 10am when the

You got the password on your mobile via twitter, and when you met Gregory you simply told him this very basic word - like "Hi Gregory"... and you got wristbands for the pit. Very simple. QuoteMax'sKansasCity I would be willing to bet that Mick Jagger himself would not pay $1500 for a ticket to see any band.... ...and yeah yeah, blah blah, I know he would probably get guest listed... but still, I bet he has never, and would never, pay anywhere near $1500, or even $600 to see a band play live. He would probably scoff at the mere notion of such a suggestion. You
