Quotestonehearted Quotedeadegad The Roof Top Jam shows that The Beatles could cut it live in 1969. I do wonder about how they would have, or have not, been able to duplicate some of their studio stuf live? They had the audio equivalent of what movies/films have in 'special effects.' Quoterambler44 QuoteShug QuoteJack-flash Also I would of course love to hear a more creative setlist, but the Stones have to please all spectators and not just those 250-350 hardcore fans that attend more than 2 shows a tour. and the other 16k want to hear smu, jjf and satisfaction. No, they don't have to please all spectators. They choose to. They could challenge their audiences by pl

QuotesanQ QuoteThrylan I mentioned earlier that after picking up and watching biggest Bang, I have alot to rethink. I am realizing that after getting off after NS, alot has/hasn't happened. Keith needs to stick to mean riffs(MR), mean open G riffs he can still pull, and Chuck B two note stuff. I hate to sound all technical but he falls into the same bumnote, interior pentatonic trap every d

The bottom line: The Stones sounded great with Grohl on Bitch; and, likewise, Jagger and The FF on Saturday Night Live played IORR better than any Stones live version of it. Hence if Keith skilss have slipped due to age, among other things, then if he stuck to rhythm-fills and let Ron, or MT, or even Grohl play unrestrained lead on all songs the band would sound much, much better. There is no

That was great! Dave gave them a booster shot which put fire in the belly. I'd spend the bucks on a Stones show with Dave from start to finish if MT is going to just play a song or two. I would, moreover, love to see Jagger tour with the Foo Fighters. They played the best version of IORR since the studio version.

Yup. He smokes! A three guitar line up will give the concert goer the best sounding live Stones since a very long time. Ron and MY should play mostly lead and riff master Keith on rhythm.

I think she sings it well but as someone noted above there are just not enough lyrics to be shared. I would like to think Mick J tried to pick her up after, and while she played along, she ultimately and cheerfully walked away saying that she had to wash her hair.

Quotestonehearted Two songs is one more than the three other special guests will have. Mick T hasn't officially rejoined The Stones nor has he been asked to, and the present-day lineup doesn't want to be upstaged by its own past by "making the entire set list better with Mick T" than it otherwise would have been with just Keith and Ronnie on guitars. You ar probably corr

For those wondering about Katy Perry? She is the sex part of Sex, drugs and rock and roll. Jagger's business sense is the other part of her being there. It is about creating a 'buzz' with other consumers with disposable income other than The Stones usual dinosaur fan base. She looks great in latex, but, I hope Jagger does not get nothin'!

Sonomastone. . .. I think I know what you mean. . .. All of the uusal gripes apply this time around with astronomical ticket prices being the biggest issue. . .. Mick Taylor's inclusion rasied expectations only to be deflated. . .. It is good that something's happening but with all of the 'issues' it is kind of a 'shrug the shoulders' affair.
