OK, well if this was "discussed to death", I apologize, I do not have the luxury of reading every post on every thread. But what makes this different from every other tour, does it suddenly cost that much more to do these things? And why are other bands able to do basically the same arenas and charge so much less? ( I am thinking of Green Day as one example, all of their tickets are u

Hi mickschix, Wow, I totally forgot about the different name on my e-mail account, I am sorry, I just (stupidly) assumed you knew I was tommyquinn from here. Sorry about that. I'm the guy who hates talking on the phone, I spend all day at work on the phone and refuse to do it at home, it feels too much like work. Even my friends and family know not to try to get me on the phone except emerg

Ronnie said the statement above in defense of the high ticket prices... I am wondering...how do you spend a MILLION dollars on rehearsals? Is it me, or does this statement seem ridiculous? He also said something about paying for the stage "and all the lights", but aren't they using the same stage (and presumably the same lights) that they did in Newark/Brooklyn? Is Ronnie gr

I am not ignoring you, mickschix. I have extra $85 tickets to both Boston shows, but i don't want to wait until day of show to get paid. If I do that and the other person doesn't show for whatever reason, there is no easy way to sell these tickets/voucher seats last-minute, with all the restrictions and getting escorted in and all that. I want to have it all set up beforehand and have o

Johnny Thunders WAS great, but he bought into his own legend and as a result, became sort-of a parody of himself...(hmmm, sound familiar?). Heroin probably destroyed his life, but the early stuff- i.e. Dolls, early Hearbreakers- classic. I grew up with the Stones and the Dolls, still love them both. Both have disappointed me at times, both could be maddeningly frustrating, but it's kind of l

I MAY have an extra $85 ticket for a Boston show and also 1 for a Philly show. Obviously, you would have to go into the venue when I do, so we would have to meet beforehand somewhere. Anyone interested?

This is really sad, Game Theory and the Loud Family were both favorites of mine. Erika's Word and Rayon Drive are both playing in my head right now. I saw both bands several times when they visited Boston. This is a big loss for the independent music scene. My heart is really heavy.

I just checked this minute, there are $85 tickets available, I had no problem, took all of 1 minute to pull them up, and I didn't buy them so they should still be there.

Jals Not Dead, I am going to first try for $85 tickets for the 14th of June. If you try for the first show, and we are both successful, I will give you the other ticket if you do the same. Deal?

I'm gonna try for the $85 tix Monday, if I get them, I will have an extra, my friends are all Stones-d out. Maybe someone will be equally kind to me if I don't get them. And if I don't, I can always sweeten the deal with a place to crash nearby that night. Yeah, I am whoring myself out for a Stones ticket, what can I say? Love the idea of the $85 tix, no stressing out and trying

I had side-view nosebleeds at the Barclay, and they were pretty good for the price I paid, they were just too high up. I had side-view at the PPV Prudential show and they were GREAT, if I could have any seat in the place, I would take side view near the stage. You get to see stuff most of the crowd doesn't, it's the next best thing to having a backstage pass. I think yhou will be very h

Another avenue to pursue re: lodging in Boston and viscinity (I found this online, can't say how good it is, but some of the prices are good and some of the areas look good. Of course, buyer beware) Looks like it is basically people in the area renting rooms nightly in their homes.

Cool, Fenway is historic and fun, though the sound man gets severely challenged by the odd shape of it. I saw the Stones there twice, and I had a great time.

I just checked on a travel site and picked the places I would stay if I didn't live here, based on price and location: Park Plaza ($188)- I am surprised this is so cheap, as it is really nice, and also convenient. 5 stops away, on the Green Line. Maybe 10-20 minutes from hotel to concert. Cambridge House Inn@ Porter ($185) from concert, take the green line to Park Street T stop or the oran

I second that (about the parking)- crazy prices, and the traffic is mad after a concert. Much better, easier, and probably cheaper to take a taxi or public transportation after the show. If you are near a subway stop, the lines run til around midnight, and concerts at the Banknorth Garden have to end by 11 or so, so you can easily get back to your hotel by subway. BIG HINT: Buy your return ticke
