Like why on why oh why, is such a mediocre Stones "rocker" as "You Got Me Rocking" in a setlist for two tours in a row (Licks and On Stage, who knows maybe others as well)????? I mean they have many superior "rockers" that they could replace it with, very, very, very perplexing!!!!!!! Anyone agree? SD

Stickydion's information seems most plausible. I do know that as far as RIAA is concerned that the only artists that have sold more albums/CDs in the USA than Led Zeppelin are: 1. Elvis Presley. 2. The Beatles. Given the variable natures of the sophistication and efficiency of systems to monitor sales of albums and singles outside the USA, UK and Europe, it is probably difficult to

Not even a glimmer of irony was applied to my post Fxc1, it was straight-up and given by one who has seen superlative gigs by the Stones and countless other bands/artists over the past 22 years. SD

The songs I mentioned are not dire by most band's standards, I just think that they are pedestrian by Stones standards, a bit like Stones songs by numbers. SD

If ya think da Crue are the ultimate party show (from bands 1977 onwards), go see David Lee Roth next time he comes around. Saw him in London in 2004, man the Stones wouldnt dare get him to open for them. DLR may not have the greatest voice in the world but he sure knows how to put a great band together and deliver a show burstin' at the seams with splendiferous rock n rolllll entertainment

Ok, gonna be controversial here, what songs do you all think are filler on BB? I reckon: 1. Let Me Down Slow? 2. It Won't Take Long 3. She Saw Me Coming 4. Driving Too Fast Despite the filler, I'd say it is probably their strongest album since Some Girls and the cover artwork is ace too. SD

Yeah, I did. It was blindingly good, grade A aural incendiary salvos of filthy rock n roll. During "No Fun" IGG invited people on to the stage - must have been 60/70 accepted hospitality. There was some mightily pissed off security staff; they didn't know what hit them!!! heh heh heh I do feel sorry for the IGG's "minder," boy that guy had a hard time trying to p

I saw Cream's last night at the Royal Albert Hall and paid £125.00 for a mediocre stalls ticket. I am 37 (I have seen tons of gigs over a 24 year period) and was never a huge Cream fan but could not resist the temptation of seeing them perform one last time (seems this isn't the case now) and my optimism proved well rewarded. The band were fantastic, apparently the first couple of

I always say to GWB fans or supporters, read Greg Palast's book, "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" and then we can discuss what a truly wonderful guy (IRONY) GWB is. The books makes Michael Moore's documentary seem like Bambi. AND just for the record GWB is one of the most misguided, ignorant, stupid and corrupt politicians of modern times AND a 22 carat RIVET-HEA

It my considered opinion, I think anyone who wants to sit down at a rock concert, needs to be escorted to their nearest psychoanalyist (probably the one "mickrichards" goes to to deal with his obvious screaming insecurities) or be taken around the back and given a right good kicking by the road crew! UNLESS 1. They have a physical impairment/disability or medical condition tha

1197. Re: SACD
I invested in a Pioneer NS-DV1000 multi-format surround sound system last Autumn, which can play SACD and DVD-Audio amongst myriad other formats. I have all the Stones and Dylan SACD releases, as well as those by other artists. Generally speaking, the sound detail and depth is definitely improved with SACD, as opposed to normal CDs, even digitally remastered ones. TeleK is right, the sound

GOOD TO SEE A FELLOW BECKSTER ON THIS DAMN BOARD!!!!!!!!!!! I saw him on the Sea Changes (underrated album) tour and at the Carling Hammersmith Apollo in London last week. Both times he was superb and Groovieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee with a capital G in BOLD. Although he is a kinda understated performer, he has such a "Black" vibe to his sound that you wouldn't think he was a midd

Time to be Devil's advocate again (ohhhhhhhhhhh what FUN!!). Are arena venues like Madison Square Garden and the LA Forum or similar legendary equivalents actually as good to see a concert (particularly the Stones)as people make-out? I guess this is concerning both atmosphere and sound. Here in London, Earls Court and Wembley Arena have acquired legendary concert status but from m

Ahhhhhhh, I could not resist firing my own salvo is this, taking a big picture stance, pointless debate! Ha ha ha ha. I own 92% of all Rolling Stones official releases and all of Led Zeppelin's official releases, besides those produced by a vast array of other rock/pop/blues music artists, so I would consider myself a music fan, rather than a Stones fan in essence. I have seen the Ston
