Saw a date on that tour. Best way to describe the gig was raucous, absolutely fantastic. Somebody threw a bottle of water onstage and Ronnie said “......don’t throw water, throw whiskey.” Made me think back to the Faces days. One of my all time favourite solo gigs. “Pretty Beat Up” still sticks in my mind from that one.

I’m impartial, very thankful for both the Stones and the Beatles in my lifetime. You can’t get much better than those two bands. I don’t do the compare, I do the enjoy. Looking forward to an eventual new “Let It Be” sessions film as Paul referenced in the call with Howard from the over 50+ hours of video outtakes left over on “the cutting room floor” as they say.

Yep, great site and best moderation on the planet. Plus with a sense of humour (at times!)

Quote5stringTele QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Well. This is going to be interesting... Nice find, STG. Thanks for posting. Ticketmaster has been an out-of-control monster for decades. This is our unfortunate opportunity to fix that, once and for all. During this global crisis, they have not behaved like an ethical business -- one could argue they never did. Their behavior has been more along the

Quote24FPS I just watched a four part series on Epix called PUNK. It's the story of you guessed it..….punk music. Almost no talking heads of periphery people. It starts out credibly with Iggy Pop and the MC5, both Detroit. They interview most of the heavy hitters still alive. Johnny Rotten was interesting, but he looks terrible. He's bloated like he's on steroids or something simil

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuoteKingmanBarstowThis is exactly the way I feel. Very concerned about solvency. STG, did you get tickets for Vancouver? And if so can I ask how you plan to request a refund from TM.ca? I put a refund request for Vancouver through TM as soon as the Request Refund button appeared. I’m expecting a long wait. I had also put through refund requests via Live Chat for Charlotte

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl I think Ticketmaster, and the promotors for whom they act, will have to change their refund policy, make it very clear that refunds will be issued if a concert is postponed, rescheduled or cancelled, for anyone to have much confidence in doing business with them in future. It was different even a few years ago before concert ticket prices shot into the stratosphere, people we

BV, the link above leads to this NYT article: Angry Fans Say First the Concerts Were Canceled, Then the Refunds It’s a general report on the current status of the concert ticket industry and the lack of refunds. Not that I didn’t mind reading it mind you.

QuoteMore Hot Rocks RIP. I just wonder how did they got away with using that name in 1964? That was ok and Louie Louie was being banned? It was the 60s (and the name came from Fleming’s 1959 Bond novel anyway) - look at what they got away with in the “Carry On” films.

Thanks artedm for the links above. I have extracted the following from one of the links: “Ticketmaster's parent company, Live Nation, is facing a credit downgrade after taking on about $3.3 billion in long-term debt last year, according to S&P Global, a financial credit rating agency. "While the extent and duration of the impact on the live events industry are uncertain, we belie

Q62 #5 no idea. Got the rest I think. It’s gotta be either cricket or track. Last night I watched a pre concert part vid of him backstage prepping for a 1981 show - Mick was fit. And still is no doubt.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuoteKingmanBarstow Q48 #6 I guessed Walter Osternak. Forgot about Weird Al. HOW could you possibly forget this classic? STG I have not heard that before. Can anyone spell travesty? I think that Weird Al used to actually tour. This is painful. But thanks for making me laff!

I am betting that I will get an above average score and I don’t get Q25 #3 (it’s most likely in the collection somewhere and I’m not looking it up, but I was never a big fan of those single remixes of the time so hence it was not played a lot) and Q26 #2. For Q25 #2 I had to mentally replay the song in my mind which took a while but I got it. Still not using Siri and proud of it.

Got em’ all except for Q 14 #1 - haven’t got a clue (without using Siri, but she let me down last night). Q 14 # 6 was the TV show (Ready Steady Go) which turned me onto the band as a young nipper. It was either that or my folks playing their first album or single.

Thanks Rockman. I just did a test and asked Siri who is George Bean. Siri couldn’t get it and came up with - where has George been. Maybe it’s my accent. Anyway, one for the humans over Siri! Cheers

I saw that also Rockman. Very interesting. But back in the day we had no “ask Siri.” Had to answer the question on the spot at the Trivial Pursuit party. Hence, cue another sip of wine or a toke and admit - “I have no flippin’ idea!”

Remember the days when we all played Trivial Pursuit on the weekends with friends and laughed our heads off (whilst probably drinking and/or having a joint). They were great times. I would no way have an answer for the Mr. Bean question above. Is it drive a Mini?
