Just bought it a couple of weeks ago. The sound quality is pretty ok, but not that great. Uptight/Satisfaction sounding worse than the others. The Ladies & Gentlemen soundtack sounds better than this. It’s nice to have this, but you can live without it too. Not worth the 28€ I paid for it in a local record store.

QuoteDoxa An oddity is the BEGGARS BANQUET billboard. The only reference to ABKCO era, but with a not fitting Jagger playing guitar there (the source of it I don't know). - Doxa A snippet from JJF promo clip would’ve fit nicely on those billboards.

QuoteJuniorjackflash Tyler's voice, at 75, singing in the original key, on some incredibly challenging songs vocally, is, well quite outstanding That seems to come with a price. It annoyed me for a long time when Mick started to sing with less effort since Voodoo tour (or even Steel Wheels?) to save his voice, but he obviously did the right move. Mick’s voice is still in very good shape co

Sounds to me like a hybrid of Mick’s Joy (from Goddess) and I Go Wild. Hopefully it will get better with more listening. But I’m soooo happy the boys are back! And I trust the album to be better than this.

Quotejuano QuoteSomeTorontoGirl If there is more, I’d love to know! The Rolling Stones – EMI Studio Wow! Hopefully an official release of all these EMI sessions will come out someday. I read that ”they also recorded several others songs including “Angie,” “Heartbeat,” “I’m Left, You’re Right, She’s Gone,” “The Last Time,” “Make No Mistake,” “Parachute Woman,” and “The Worst.” None of these h

QuoteDoxa A nice version! "Lucky In Love" is pretty rich melodically, and that quality is nicely emphasized here. But, as typical here, a nice tribute to Mick Jagger for his 80th birthday turns out to be a just another thread for Jagger bashing... - Doxa Yes, it really is. Actually many songs on She’s The Boss are surprisingly rich musically, if you can listen them ignoring the

QuoteHairball Yes agree, excellent version, and it's WAY better than the original - congrats to you and the missus padre69! Looking forward to more superior remakes of other mediocre Jagger solo tunes from you two....there's plenty to choose from. :-D Glad you guys like the version!

Quotetreaclefingers Very very nice indeed! Congratulations, love your interpretation. Now, your next assignment. Please make me like "Let's Work"! Ha ha! I've honestly spent YEARS thinking how to make Let's Work listenable. Haven't figured it out yet. BUT I did mention this yesterday to my missus and she gave a whole new perspective to the lyrics, that maybe

QuoteIrix Quotepadre69 Is there any place for non UK citizens to watch these Glastonbury gigs (besides crappy cell phone youtube clips)? Have a look at Guitars101.com for full performances of Glastonbury 2023 (taken from BBC). Wow! Thank you very much!

I went to see this in theater. I’m not a fan of Waters or Pink Floyd, but it was very nice to watch a live concert on a big screen on a comfortable seat and s cold wine bottle in hand for 20€ (wine not included). I wish The Stones would do something like this too.

QuoteRocky Dijon Quotetreaclefingers Now go and dig up the 1985 interview where Keith brags about his opening riff to "Winning Ugly" and how his peers are coming up to him asking him how he came up with it. And this before the album was even released. Winning Ugly was chosen as a third single off the album after Harlem and One hit, so they must’ve really liked that song. Or at least som

I would REALLY like to hear someone to make a good cover version of this. And Winning Ugly, too. To show me I've just been stupid all these years and haven't heard the brilliance that lies deep down in the core of these songs. And while we're at it, the same for Sweet Neocon and Infamy, please.

I believe most (not all, but most) albums nowadays use the same mastering for cd and vinyl. All from the same digital source. So the case is indeed often about the ”warmer, friendlier and nicer” feel of the vinyl. Nothing wrong about that, is there? If it feels better for whatever reason, it can’t be THAT bad of a thing. There are worse things in life.

I bought the Some Girls bonus album on vinyl some years ago from some record fair. It’s a boot obviously made from the cd, but it’s ok while waiting the official vinyl to be released. I love vinyl, because the artwork is also a big thing for me. Just like books. I read e-books, but if something special comes out I want to own it as a physical format. And it it includes photos as large as as poss
