It’s not dog shit. There is plenty of recycled same old riffs on many ofKeith ‘s songs in the last 30 years.I like Visions of Paradise,God GaveMe Everything and Goddess. But IMO it’s a weak album

I’ve noticed a lot of the songs from Brussels 1973 are not currently on You Tube.Does that imply that the Brussels show will be rereleased as part of the Goats Head Soup reissue. And why do the Roundhouse songs which were released on the Sticky Fingers deluxe sound so much better than Ladies and Gentlemen 1972 and other live shows if that era.Hopefully Bob Clearmountain could clean up these shows.

Didn’t John Lennon write a song for Johnny called Rock n Roll People? Would have enjoyed Johnny in the Plastic Ono Band.Live he and Lennon could have played Yer Blues and Hard Days Night.

QuoteRobertJohnson Quoterollmops Have the Stones and Johnny ever met? Rockandroll, Mops I don't know. But I think so. Silver Train was allegedly written for Johnny Winter by Keith and Mick. Johnny released it before it appears on GHS.Jagger ,RonWoodand Winter went to see Stevie Ray Vaughn concert together

I read that it originally was supposed to be a Nanker Phelge credit, and figured Brian with his sitar added enough to get a credit. On a different topic ,I thought it was ridiculous to give K.D. Lang a credit for Anybody Seen My Baby. That is like giving the lyricist for Heaartbreak Hotel credit for Yer Blues

What does Keith. Mean when he says he gives the band a riff or chord structure and lets them cook up something?

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 I will be in the minority here but Johnny Winter has never done anything for me. he is one of those names (like Radiohead) where I keep coming back to them, thinking "It must be me, I am missing something that everyone else is seeing". But it never grabs me. He had a great image. Jagger has said that at the end of the day you also got to have some luck. JW

QuoteTheGreek So true that Johnny Winter has the best covers of Stones songs . I always regretted that the Stones in one of there tours when they rolled thru Texas never got together and invited Johnny Winter to join them on stage for one (or a few ) songs . How great would that have been to hear the Stones and Mick singing and Johnny tearing it up on his Sunburst Reverse Gibson Firebird V ! I

IMO, Johnny Winter ‘s covers of the Stones songs were the best of any artist.Silver Train, Let it Bleed, Stray Cat Blues, Jumping Jack Flash.Too bad the Stones never recorded with him.I would have preferred him on say a Jagger solo album over Jeff Beck

QuoteTravelinMan QuoteTaylor1 Does Taylor play on the alternate take of Loving Cup.Because those guitars sound a little sloppy. And we know her plays slide on You Gotta Move. That slide sounds very simple. So why couldn’t he be playing one of the guitars on Happy, which sounds harder to play than You Gotta Move.It sounds to me that the second solo at the end of Happy is Taylor. The guitar sounds like

QuoteDoxa Does anyone think that at least partly the reason to pick up this song particularly, was a statement against the infamous use of it in certain political rallies in America (and especially seen through the tele all-over the world during election day), something especially Jagger was not happy about? Was there a small sarcasm in Mick's introduction, "this one I hope you know&quo

The Stones were way better than McCartney who gave a horrible performance of Lady Madonna. The tempo was all wrong and he can’t sing anymore .Maybe I was wrong to say Keith played bad.Maybe I should have said I would like to hear him play more
