I don't think anyone is arguing there is something inherently wrong with the word "black." The issue with Baa Baa Black Sheep is about trying to decide what it means. Some say it refers to the slave trade. I have no idea, and not sure anyone does. But we do know what Sweet Black Angel and Black Limousine are about, so that shouldn't be an issue.

QuoteTheGreek I will throw my 2 Dracmas in Apologies for going off on a tangent, but seeing this reminded me of when I was a kid and my brother and I spent a few summers in Greece with our grandparents. Before it was time to leave, we would gather up all our drachmes and go to the bank and exchange all of it for 2 drachma coins. We'd end up with a nice little bag of them. Once we lande

I found this review in the Times-News of Twin Falls Idaho from Friday, July 30, 1982. By RICK SHEFCHIK Knight-Ridder Newspapers ROLLING STONES, "Still Life" {Rolling Stones Records) — The profit-taking continues; If you weren't there, this extremely brief version of their 1981 concert tour won't serve as an adequate substitute, since several of these songs ("Sh

I bought this version of Still Life last year. I saw it at a store in Belfast and couldn't for the life of me figure out why it all looked so strange. But then discogs informed me that it was a misprint.

QuoteLeonidP He was a police officer, stone66, and was once actually shot during a car chase. It's funny, I just re-watched all the episodes about 6 months ago, the show was brilliant mainly for 2 characters (though I love all the characters) ... Eddie Haskell and Larry Mondello, both the friends of Wally & Beaver. Anyway I did a search on all characters too at that time, that'

Fantastic cover. I was watching the video of the show the other day. And I think I mentioned in a post recently, one of my three favorite Stones covers, along with Otis and Johnny Cash.

QuoteMrEcho There are faint rumors that "Bootleg Series Vol. 16" will come out in the fall, focusing on the "Infidels Sessions", which include Mick Taylor on guitar, of course. P.S.: According to Michael Chaiken (Bob Dylan Archive in Tulsa), they have only recently managed to transfer the "Infidels" sessions. "Infidels" was one of the first rock music a

Many condolences to you and your family, SisterD. My older brother provided the same musical guidance for me, especially giving me a bunch of my early Stones tapes and posters and taking me to record stores to buy Stones records. But I wonder, did Alan freak out and punch you when he noticed you were in his room playing his records like my brother did? (I hope not )
