I wish people would stop picking holes in what was a magical night that proved all the doubters wrong. Even at 70 odd years of age the boys still put everyone else on the bill to shame. If the entire show was perfect people would moan it was to well rehearsed and robotic. Enjoy it for what it was

Those watching on tv writing news paper articles should be ignored. If you read any journos who watched Saturday night in person they are unaminous in agreement it was a triumph. This guy from The Guardian sums it up I'll never forget Saturday night - U2, Springsteen and the bands of today like Coldplay who have all headlined Glastonbury couldn't hold a candle to our boys. The

Quotestonehearted What's amazing is that Glastonbury is the first Rolling Stones live set of the current tour where there are virtually no videos uploaded to YouTube of every song they played. All that remain are the Vimeo clips of Jack Flash and Glastonbury Girl and the 1-hour of BBC coverage of the second half. It must truly have been a novice crowd experiencing The Stones for the first

QuoteDoxa I finally had the opportunity to watch that an hour plus footage, and yeah, like everyone has pointed out here, it was a wonferful gig. The challange seemed to inspire the band even to higher heights than what we have seen in this tour so far. The lucky ones who were there were truely wittnessing a historical concert. And happy the rest of us well who get to see/hear quite a lot of the

Saturday will live long in the memory crumbling mice The only thing I was worried about was if it rained like it did for U2 in 2011, thankfully it doesnt look like that will be the case. Hard to explain just how good then place is in comparison to any other festival ive been to - the vibe and buzz is on a different level Really thought The Stones ship had sailed Glastonbury wise thankfully

Rain or sun Glastonbury is a wonderful place. The weather looks very very good for this weekend, perfect festival conditions. Im starting to get excited, I think Saturday night could be a special gig, they'll feed off the crowds energy. I was going anyway before The Stones comfirmed but it really was the cherry ontop when the line up was announced

They should let an hours worth be screened at least It's proven headline artists at Glastonbury get 2000% increase on sales in the days following on the back of the TV coverage. It would open up a whole new generation of fans for them as well. Win win unless they throw in a dire performance which I don’t think they will

The stones are playing for more than 90 minutes - 2 hours 15 mins on the official listing The 90 minute gap is between them and Primal Scream

The Stones set time is 9:30-11:45 – the longest of any of the 3 headliners. What’s more interesting is the time between Primal Scream who are second on the bill finishing and them - a full 90 minute gap. This is unprecedented at Glastonbury. The longest gap previously was 60 minutes for Macca You have to wonder what they’ve got up their sleeve stage set up wise. One secret that’s pretty mu
