QuoteOlly 'I know the old heads and Taylor-ites will cry, but for my money the best live version of GS is Paradiso '95.' The majority, if not all, of the best Stones live performances are from 1994 onwards. I agree, although I would start from 89! But this is a bit limited, the Stones have always done great live music, but we must take into account the historical period. Each

The Rolling Stones going to affect this album in Ireland at the home of Ron Wood, you feel it is a group work (listen to bootlegs), good to see Charlie experience the sound using a waste bin upside down, even some sounds of guitars are interesting . In my opinion one of the best albums ever by the Rolling Stones.

SW I think is a great album, there are fantastic songs like Hearts for Sale (nice riff of Keith and lead guitar of Wood), Break the Spell (Bass and drums create a fantastic carpet rhythmic, harmonic and guitars do the rest, I like singing like Mick), Continental Drift (Big work!), Sad sad sad (simply Stones), Rock and a hard place (I think a little masterpiece, great riffs!) ecc. I prefer not to

Mick Jagger has done Mick Jagger here, what to do Keith Richards? This contrast is stupid, Keith R. recently said that Mick is the best to be on stage! We are sure that this is a forum dedicated to Rolling Stones?

Sorry duludervi but Jagger and Richards have written together only in the 60s, when they were living together. SF or EOMS already have not been scitti together.

I do not think it's the best Stones album, but for some reason is the album the Stones I hear most often. It 'very playful, but equally has some intense moments, is an album that does not tire, well recorded and well played. Maybe I'm wrong, this is the best! Not there's a song that I avoid, I like them all. Masterpiece 80s the Stones!

ER I think it's a great song, a dance song marked Stones. The Rolling Stones have taught us that any kind of music can give birth to a great song. ER is also the album in my opinion a great album!

Mick and Keith are complementary, their solo albums are not masterpieces, but between Wandering Spirit and Talk is Cheap, WS is much better!

The point is that Wood has its own style, Taylor has its own style, continue to place them in opposition it makes no sense. Yet here he keeps saying Taylor's the best etc., Instead of me like apprezarli both, in the Stones have played in very different periods. Today, however, the guitarist of the Stones is Wood , you should be happy Taylor to have been invited on the last tour, but here you

There are also statements of Keith not good against Taylor, so I would not give importance to the statements. Wood when he entered in the Stones was already a guitar player important, hardly needs to be defended, is talking his career, he has done so well outside of the Stones, unlike Taylor that has done little or nothing is now begs to be he called the Stones.

Quote5strings QuoteHMS Mick Taylors effect on the Stones is heavily over-rated. He is just the guy who almost by coincidence was hanging around when Keith and Mick reached their creative peak as a songwriting team. Sticky Fingers and Exile (which of course should have been released as a single album) would be equally great without Mick Taylor. IORR/GHS are two weak and very boring releases, altho

This is a great album, sin is so underrated. Mick and Keith have been working together and with their whole band. If I'm not mistaken VL was recorded in the old house of Wood in Ireland. Perhaps this was the last time the whole band was found to work together in an album.

I think the sound quality of SFL is good but could be better. But on my stereo sounds good, some adjusting tone ... I really like the voice of Jagger and the guitar sound of Wood, maybe you can improve the sound of the guitar of Richards, in fast songs the sound is a bit muddy, ballads instead are ok. Nice to hear the guitar of high Wood, nice also distortion, especially in Sway and Sister M.

I never understood why the Stones of those years are so undervalued, but albums like Undercover deserve much more consideration and this song Tie You Up (The Pain Of Love) if it was released in 72 would be considered a small masterpiece. There are some versions of songs released on bootleg Undercover that are fantastic, I remember such a fantastic version of Too Much Blood.
