Quotegeorgie48 QuoteTestify There are great solos by Ronnie, however in the B&B the respective guitarists had already played on those songs, who by the way did a great job, so it wouldn't have made sense to do otherwise. Not listed at setlist stats that I can find Slave, No Use In Crying & Heaven were never played live. If I'm not mistaken Slave was played live, perhap

Did the intense humidity play a role in the tuning? It happened to me with my guitar and it wasn't nice at all! However when you play underwater and in the cold strange things always happen it's really hard to be precise in those conditions and the Stones are not a precise band by nature.

I liked SSS, glad they played it is a song that I love. Listening again from the video posted above, it's not even that bad, some inaccuracies that the Stones usually do especially on songs that don't often play live, but all in all I liked it.

For me it's one of the best tracks on Tattoo You deluxe ... it's played beautifully and the slide guitar here is really cool! But the text is beautiful too ... and takes us back to the golden years.

I wanted to take some time, before making a judgment, well I have to say I liked it a lot. The best things for me are: - Troubles A 'Comin - Shame Shame Shame - Drift Away (I've always loved this cover, which is superior to others versions, nice text). - Fiji Jim (fantastic song, great lyrics, fantastic guitars above all the slide Ronnie I guess ...) - It's a Lie -

QuoteMaindefender QuoteRobertJohnson I had the chance meanwhile to hear Wembley on a good sound system. The old Sam Wheat-disease: Mick upfront in a grotesque way. The guitars in the background. It is the same messed-up sound like on Miami. A great performance and a lousy sound. Is Bob Clearmountain too expansive for a deluxe-project? So they pay for an absolutely deaf man. We haven't had

I'm just saying ... that ER is the album I listen to the most from the Rolling Stones, I love it! I like IG a lot, but yes ... the highlight is Down In The Hole which for me is the most beautiful blues of the Stones.

Mick is really great, because getting to that age that way doesn't happen by accident. Mick I'm sure he makes a lot of sacrifices to still be Mick Jagger. The thing that amazes me, however, is his voice, when I attended a Rod Stewart concert a few years ago, I thought that it is really true, of Mick Jagger there is only one, let's say that Rod was embarrassing, while Mick he is al

Quotewiredallnight QuoteTestify Quotewiredallnight Compared to the 2 tracks that were broadcast on the BBC back in 2013 this new CD must be heavily overdubbed (or the tracks come from somewhere else). I seem to remember that Ronnie and his band had done several Jimmy Reed themed dates. Not really. According to N. Zentgraf there was only the Royal Albert Hall Show on Nov. 1st (and a private gig

Thanks to everyone for their valuable contributions. Looking at the videos the result is what I expected, Steve has given this band a great energy and he is also good, so I liked it a lot. Of course Charlie is Charlie and I would have liked to have him, but life is also this .... Charlie is a drummer who has given us so much, but who has also had to compromise because of his age. Quotestargroover Nice tribute by Mick. Can feel the love. Yet it would be more sincere if said in front of genuine fans, and not a set of jet set clowns who probably know little of the Stones and their legacy.A missed opportunity.Would have been so easy to have had a club show for the genuine fans and dedicated this to Charlie. Are you arguing that if you are rich, you can't be an RS fan? Are

Quotestargroover The world does go on,but if the quality is no longer there why continue with a sub standard product?Oh I forgot ££££ Isn't the quality there? You're kidding I guess. Apart from that from an amateur video it is difficult to understand much, however Steve is not one who passed by by chance, he is a great professional who has already worked with Keith (among others) and w

It goes without saying that the sound is different, Charlie and Steve play differently and Steve tends to hit the drums harder, so the volume is higher. But Steve doesn't have to imitate Charlie, he has to be himself and sound like he usually sounds. I hate that Charlie is no longer with us, but the world goes on.

Quotemidimannz QuoteTaylor1 They really play together well.Maybe better these days than Wood and Keith It’s certainly not the ‘fine art of weaving’. I’m enjoying it, BUT Ron tries too hard to play over Mick Taylor One lead break at a time Ron, it could have been brilliant…. Sometimes it’s better to let the ‘other guy play’ Surely he will do it the day Taylor works on his own project a

Quoteribbelchips It's been 10 days since Charlies passing. I think it's kinda strange that there has been no official statement at all by the band itself. Nothing about the upcoming shows, not a single personal word from Mick, Keith and Ronnie.. Just a photo and a short compilation video. Maybe it's not fair or appropriate to expect something like that as a fan. But I do think i

I understand everyone's point of view and rightly here everyone expresses their opinion. What I don't like is to insinuate a disrespect if they continue, or I've read that someone (I apologize but I don't remember the nickname) has doubts that Mick and Charlie were friends, Mick is a businessman. I don't know if Mick is a businessman, but even if he was, businessmen have

Quotewanderingspirit66 "The greatest tribute his bandmates could pay him would be to declare that they’re done. I just hope they have that much class. No man deserved it more." As I wrote in the other discussion, I think the Stones would have ended regardless. Maybe they would have made some dates for the 60th, but nothing more ... however I always find it bad to judge the behavi
