I'm happy with this release and will definitely buy it, by the way I really liked Bruce S. on TD, the only thing I would have liked is a version of Lady Jane, they rarely played it live and the London version it was fantastic. However these releases are always done on the cheap, because they don't have a large market, so it is cheaper to use the version of the concert broadcast on tvpa

It seems that commercial success is only important when it's convenient .... mah! Personally I believe that the temporary stop of the Stones in those years was necessary, I never thought that Mick wanted to set up on his own, if he wanted to do it he would have done it a long time ago, like Rod Stewart did, don't wait until you are 45 to to do it. Mick however I needed to do something

I remind everyone that Ronnie has also signed historical pieces with Rod S. and the Faces, for example Every Picture Tells a Story, Gasoline Alley and many others.

A quaint, home-studio vibe that was a little rough around the edges. Lot of great musical moments with Scotty Moore and Dylan picking together. Shame it's not on the streaming platforms. Slide On

QuoteHairball QuoteFP Amusing to hear Ron Wood totally butcher Taylor's classic solo on Can't You Hear Me Knocking at London Hyde Park show. Plays about three notes and hits a massive clam! but is there really anyone who is still interested in sales? When the Stones were noisy to sales they were accused of giving too much importance to this aspect, now that they don't it's the fans who worry, weird ... personally I don't give a damn about how much they sell

I find that the Mocambo songs inserted in LYL sound better on this cd, even if there is not much difference, but LRR here seems a different version, but I prefer it to the one from LYL which I love anyway.

QuoteGazza On first few listens, comparing the songs to LYL, would it be correct to say that 'Rooster' is a different performance (so, the LYL version is from 4/3/77) but the other 3 songs from that album are the same? True, but I love this version of LRR, great! The whole album is great, great Stones! Killer version of JJF!

Quotekeefriffhards I often wonder why the Stones don't do half a dozen shows every other month for half the year as opposed to 15 shows then nothing for a year. 18 shows over 6 month's would be far less demanding physically plus playing on and off over 6 month's would mean less need for rehursing and better quality shows with more energy. Also 6 shows at a time would sell out e

Every time I read these arguments I am perplexed, because the choice of songs to be included in an album goes beyond the simple "this song is more beautiful than this other". There are reasons why a song, even if beautiful, is not included in a certain album, perhaps because it has nothing to do with the album or with the idea of an album that the band wants at that moment for example.

I seem to remember an interview with Mick, in which he said that LYL comes mainly from Paris and Mocambo. He explained that they had to go through a lot of tracks to pick the best ones, so he doesn't surprise me that IORR is from Toronto. However, most of them come from Paris, in addition to the tracks recorded at Mocambo.
