Surely the scheduled shows will be done, also because Charlie's absence was already foreseen and yet in a month it should be less painful. But I think the Stones will not do anything after that, maybe a couple of dates for the 60th and I think they will release the new album which will be dedicated to Charlie and maybe it will contain a surprise as a tribute to him. By now they were at the

Quotedkwalika Great to be among folks who get it, who understand this loss. I appreciate that people still want to see this tour, but I don't know if I will ever see them again, under the "Rolling Stones" name. I'd see Mick solo or Keith on a tour with the Winos, but it ain't the Stones anymore for me. Soundtrack of my life since 1964 and still is, till I'm d

QuoteTheGreek QuoteBig Al Quotegeorgelicks 8 outtakes from TY and 3 from GHS last year, we've got a nice "new" album with 11 tracks from the 70's, released in 2020-21. I do hope you’re not suggesting that the Stones feel they’ve fulfilled their contractual obligations! In other words: the lazy gits are not obliged to offer any more! Well if I am reading the

QuoteTaylor1 Quotedcba Quotepowerage78 No Taylor but Wood is always a disappointment. I think he did great overdubbing on "Living..." his bit of soling is good, compact, and it blends perfectly into MT's own solo. Mind you, these days Mick can only rely on one guitarist so you might as well start to enjoy Ron's playing... It is good, but whydidn’t Jagger allow them to d

Quotedennycranium While it's interesting to hear these tracks "finished," there's a reason these tracks don't make it to albums on its initial release. They just aren't that good as Stones songs. For other artists they may be standout tracks. I've played it several times and it just hasn't grabbed me. Fiji Jim should have been the first track rel

QuoteFour Stone Walls Quoteyearsinthemaking I'm just happy they decided to release a different live show instead of how they repacked the same Brussels show for GHS. Makes me think when they get around to IORR they might put a different '75 tour show!!!! Yes it does. But that's s not the point. It has nothing, zilch, sod all, to do with Tattoo you. It had to do with It&

QuoteTaylor1 Why is Wood putting overdubs on songs that were made when he wasn’t in the band and not Keith? I guess the reason is ... those songs weren't finished and they wanted to finish them today and today there is no Taylor but Wood.

I liked the released song and I didn't remember the "original" version. Most of those songs weren't finished or in any case they weren't finished for the Rolling Stones and if a painter has a painting that he never finished, it's not so strange that even after years he can finish it. For the pure and hard there is always the bootleg, but it would make no sense to p

Quotesnoopy2 QuoteMisterDDDD Quotetreaclefingers QuoteRisingStone Quotetreaclefingers Well I think it is interesting that if it were Mick, there is no way there would be a show. Not possible. In the very strict sense of the words, even this wouldn’t be the case. During the Keith set, Mick leaves the stage, completely off sight. No one doubts they are “The Rolling Stones” Still disagree w

Today I listened to it again with the various singles and it did not disappoint me. I don't understand why to call RT useless, I remember that when it came out the live it was one of my favorite songs, since they haven't played it for many years. Play With Fire was also a fantastic surprise and played with great style. Obviously I respect different opinions ... but to argue that a song

Sometimes it seems that here we want to complicate very simple things. The initial bow will give with fellow officers Mick, Keith and Ronnie, the second with everyone else. Just thinking that Ronnie doesn't have to be with the official band is just a disrespect and I'm sure both Mick and Keith would never do that. By the way, if it weren't for Ronnie rehabilitated from alcohol a

I guess if Charlie had wanted to leave the Stones, he would have declared it publicly, as did Bill. The fact that he has told of bad timing, due to his health problems, it is evident that he has no intention of leaving. It's funny how people always try to distort reality.

It 's really amazing to read certain messages, I do not know that Charlie wants to withdraw. I imagine they will still do some European concerts to close in their homeland and I am convinced that hopefully Charlie will be there. I have only just read the news and I am very sorry, however it seems that Charlie's operation went well and this is the important thing. I wish Charlie to come back soon and make a complete recovery. After that I disagree with some users who have commented. Surely if it would have happened earlier, the RS would have postponed the dates, unfortunately as Charlie joked his timing this ti

It's always great to read this forum ... and the more I read it, the more I realize how RS fans are multigenerational and with profoundly different musical sensibilities. This is what I like most about the Stones! When they did the first "dance" songs, there were those who were horrified, I personally liked them, as I like their reggae stuff. country, funky and obviously blues.

Quoteretired_dog Quote24FPS Slipping Away was the last great Stones song, in that it ended the Wyman Era. Slipping Away sounds like it's the end of the group. In a way it was. Yeah, it feels a bit like The Long And Winding Road, not the last song on Let It Be, but on 1967-1970. It evokes the same kind of sentimentality - the sense of something coming to an end. Well, in the case of the

QuoteBig Al As much I’ll enjoy the Tattoo You re-release, i already know that these 9 polished-up outtakes will be forgotten within a year of hearing them. I really, really wish they’d focus on new songs for a ‘new’ album. This is a problem in today's society, which always wants new things, quickly forgetting the old ones, and then making them new in some way. On Ronnie and the insurance

I'm a little sad that they haven't made any deluxe releases of Emotional Rescue, it's the album I love most of the Stones. However, the period is the same, so I think outtakes come from more or less the same sessions.
