You nailed it, DOXA!!! Gives me goose-bumps to read your words. QuoteDoxa This is an issue also occured to my mind as listening BRUSSELS AFFAIR a lot lately again. Yeah, we have now a kind good representation of both shows of the day thanks to the official version of the famous bootleg. I think as a concert act that day back then in Brussels was the busiest and most energy-consuming day in

As a huge fan of Stones archaeology , reading all kinds of concert reports , but born in 1976 I always wondered how the Stones managed to play that many double dates, specially from the 69 tour onwards, look at the schedules of 1972, 1973... From 1969, the shows were not the 25-35 minutes quickie anymore, of course not like the post-"Vegas"-shows of more than 2 hours, but - looking

QuoteHairball I saw them play it at Vredenburg 2003, and I'm pretty sure they played it a couple of other times during the Licks Tour. Fantastic tune and the studio version is one of my favorites, but live it was a bit messy (and not in the best way) - Ronnie completely screwed up the solo. Lucky you, can you remember if it sounded good? I mean, this must´ve been the 8th time or so live

Just watched a few "full shows" of 1994 ( following your IORR Thread about the rehearsals with Ackroyd) , and I gotta say, SPARKS that I´d never even concede pure existence , sounds quite terrific! What´s really haunting me is hearing Keith do new songs with pure devotion!!! That´s what I missed from then but definitely from 2000´s on...

QuoteWry Cooter "Rocks Off" sounds terrific -- other than Mick who I'm guessing is half assing it to save his voice. Doesn't strike me as one they can't pull off live otherwise. Y E A H ! ! ! ! ! !

Being kind of a setlist freak (concerning the groups and artists I love ) I sometimes wonder how the Stones could put something on the table which they never done as a show opening. Don´t get me wrong, I love the opening of a show definitely much more than - let´s say - the encores. Apart from the often used tracks (JJF, SMU, HTW, Brown Sugar, Satisfaction). and the quite obscure ones (Pa

I don´t know what it is...but I really love the Sympathy version of LOVE YOU LIVE. Always seemed to come along more psychedelic than the versions before and after. Am I wrong?

Would like to know about the sound at shows in the 70s from people who were there... ...and would like to share some memories. I mean, especially in comparison to th sound of the After-Steel-Wheels-era...

Haven’t you seen The Stones since 81? 81 is dead last I was 5 years old in 1981 and seen them only since 1989 on every tour, but the video of Tempa gives me the newbie jeebies.

QuoteHairball I always love Miss You live (might be in the minority on that), but have to say Darryl's bass solo is totally unnecessary and out of place... I was thinking the same years ago, but the main problem to me about the bass thing was the fact that it blew the song up to sometimes like 10 minutes. But apart from that I don´t think Darryl´s solo is the weak part, not at all.
