QuoteGasLightStreet As awesome as The Sphere is U2 (or anyone) will never top ZOO TV. Zoo Station and it's opening (for the stadium tours especially) was brilliant and beyond anything that hack Roger Waters could come up with. The Fly was complete overload. Until The End Of The World was Mozart on steroids with video screens and a wah-wah pedal. ZOO TV was just a complete chan

Oh, boy... If only they played this on the upcoming tour. Is there anything politically incorrect about its title in today's oversensitive world? Negrita is Spanish for "little black girl." I was not there in 1976 or so to see and hear this live but I can see the audience all moving in unison to this groovy, funked up piece of dirty beauty. I would give my beloved pink la

Oh, boy. This is getting messy and pointless. All these arguments about nothing. Who went to which concert? Do you know your Rolling Stones? It was played. It was not played. Two chords. Three chords. I hate NME. ... GasLightStreet has no mercy when it comes to educating and bashing others...

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotenoughties The Hackney Diamonds user reviews have stopped coming. The album has settled on three and a half stars out of five, both by allmusic and users. What an absurd thing to say. One site. A site that sucks. That doesn't mean anything. Your comment is not less absurd, and not very factual. On another note. I used to visit Allmusic quite often. I

I do like the Miss You remix on the Austin Powers soundtrack and there is a pretty good Sympathy For The Devil remix on the remix CD. There were many crap remixes from Bridges and Voodoo... Mixed Emotions 12" remix -- now that was something to dig. That riff at the beginning... and then the bass kicks in... In my book, that was the last true remix without the boom-boom-boom-boom beats

QuoteVoodooLounge13 I was lucky enough to obtain one of these copies last year, post divorce #2. An extravagant purchase I would have never have been able to make during my marriage, so I am even more grateful to own one of these copies. I was deeply saddened to learn of his sudden passing, but I do fully appreciate the quality of the workmanship and love that went into every page and detail of

Will's passing is utterly sad. I cannot express my appreciation for people like Will, for people who commit to such an unbelievably challenging mission just out of their love for The Stones. I have dreamed about owning this book and this will remain a dream. I firmly believe the book is worth every penny. Still, I will never be able to afford this beauty. I understand why there was

Isn't this a Black Eyed Peas song? I am sure some were shaking their heads not knowing what to make of Miss You when it came out in 1978... Then Emotional Rescue... Too Much Blood... Anybody Seen My Baby?... This time Mick took it a step further. I just don't like it. It is catchy but that makes kinda 'cheap.' Still, I can see its appeal. I'd actually prefer Sw

Spot on: a less stylized vocal from Mick. Finally!!!!!!!! Honesty does make a bigger impact. Great read! I expected a few more revelations than what I have got, though. I just 'Wonder'... How are they going to perform this without Gaga live? Lovin' the false ending. That's when it gets real groovyyyyyy. Little Stevie is great too. I wish we heard more from him. T

When I see that there is a new post in the DW thread, I hesitate for a second. Would it be worth reading it? Would it make my day? Would this contribute to me having a better day? Would I learn something new about Dirty Work or The Rolling Stones? I never understand why people have to spread hate. Why do people need to voice their hatred again and again and again about anything or anyone? Why

Thank you so much for this. Hell of a job! Beautiful covers. I was just wondering why Deep Love with Keef on vocals was not included (I see the one with Jagger on vocals is among the tracks -- Why this one?). And how about For Your Precious Love? Nothing from the Steel Wheels sessions?

More comparable with I Go Wild, and that's being generous because I Go Wild worked live

Back To Zero is a catchy tune. Yes, it's more like Jagger's solo stuff and it's very much of its time, but compared to Goin' Home, Send It To Me, Sad Day or Indian Girl (Where is your Mama?), Back To Zero is an inspired song. I get a kick out of seeing how much some of you are driven mad by your hatred towards Dirty Work. You don't miss a chance to voice your opinion,
