Thanks for the feedback. I wish my laptop with the original download had not crashed. I can’t find my CDR I made of the show nor can I find the FLAC files I made of the show as a backup.

If you bought the new deluxe GHS, is the Brussels show better than the “official” release that occurred about a decade ago? I have listened to the famous bootleg a hundred timesavers I will say the “official” release was good but I only bought the download version back in the day and now it’s gone. So was wondering how the new official version sounded from the box set. Jamming to Dancing with Mr

Thanks for the link. I agree, if these are from ABKCO, why would they share audience recordings? I also think the MR, SCB and Ruby Tuesday are from tour rehearsals in the Fall of 1969. You can tell they are trying to figure out the groove for Rambler and Stray Cat as to what it would become, but clearly after Hyde Park.

Did anyone capture the Altamont release? If so, is it possible for a WeTransfer link? I would forever be grateful and would pay it forward!

QuoteTornandfrayed QuoteNasty Habits To me most of the live tracks don't sound like soundboard recordings. In fact they sound like they are the first gen tapes of the shows that have been circulating on bootleg, Ft Collins and Miami for example sounds exactly the same as the copies that I've had for years. MSG 27th sounds like the audience mic source that they used for the recording

Mathijs- what do you mean they gave us a GYYYO with only 1 extra track? I have 5 on my version... but if a 50th Anniversary deluxe set comes out with all the live shows in pristine aoundboard quality, I will pay the dough.

Thank you very much this is the best Christmas gift for a Stones fan... is there any chance someone got Atlamont? I have been wanting that since I saw a clip of it in the Gimme Shelter movie documentary.

Terrible band? I think the best band to come out in the last 30 years. If Mick ever did a solo tour, he should hire the Crowes- they do the Stones as good as they were back in the 70s.

It sounded so similar that I thought it would create some discussion. The timing and pattern just resonated in me thinking it was possible it may have influenced the song. Knowing Michael used YCAGWYW on this same album makes me even more suspicious. If there is a 1 album that is an outlier for my listening pleasure it would be that one (Listen Without Prejudice). Appreciate the feedback fellow I

Watching football tonight and a TMobile commercial came on with the George Michael song Freedom. I know he sampled YCAGWYW on an album track, but did he possibly use the same chords and jangly piano playing as SFTD on this song or am I hearing things?

If this is the first time this has been discovered then I’m thinking it’s probably a fake. The Stones would not have allowed 3 guitars on a live recording and you can here 3.

I’m in agreement with Torn and Frayed. One way to test is to get yourself some decent headphones and listen to the album through them. Once you hear how awesome the recording actually is even on cheap headphones, then you can go back and test your speakers. If you have some older speakers (even some nice ones) the outer edge of the material can become dry rotted and you will have the more muffled

Wow- I don’t have my nice Bose headphones so just playing through my phone and it sounded really fantastic! I will listen to the whole thing later. To think we have come to the point where a simple computer program can help us remix songs to sound like we want them to sound!

Why do the Stones not play this more often as the “slow down” ballad in concert? I understand Angie hit #1 in 1973 and Wild Horses did not top the charts, but I would think most music fans would agree Wild Horses is one of the best and most recognizable Stones songs in their canon. Is it too difficult to do live because they choose not to perform it acoustically? I mean if it comes up in a fan vo

Question- how does one acquire the outtakes (I heard the No Expectations with Keith on 12-string) is sublime. Were the outtakes ever officially released or did they simply let it leak to fans for bootleg purposes?

His Majesty, Where is the bootleg that you are referencing? I heard the reference to a bootleg concerning Brian playing SFTD and was hoping to hear that as well. Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the responses, sound like it is worth purchasing again after two decades of having the old version. If anyone finds the outtake of Brian playing on SFTD, please share the link. Not sure why they didn’t throw a few outtakes of the Stones playing/rehearsing (including the rumors of Clapton on Parachute Woman, and the Stones possibly playing Route 66).

Watched YouTube link speaking about the r&r circus and he said there is a bootleg version of SFTD with Brian playing guitar in one of the takes before he was handed maracas. Does anybody have a link to hear that track? Also- is Brian now audible on JJF and YVAGWYW?

Jumping Jack Flash/Child of the Moon, Honky Tonk Women/YCAGWYW, Miss You/Far Away Eyes and Beast of Burden/ When the Whip Comes Down. Those were my 4 first vinyl singles bought all the same day in 1978. I was my kindergarten class’s DJ for our free time in class so I got to bring in whatever. I listened to all 8 of those songs and I found them so different and refreshing and started a journey tha

Juniors Farm with Mick Taylor on lead and Keith on vocals although it’s hard to beat Jimmy Mc’s sweet solo at the beginning and the end. Before the Black Crowes rocked Hard to Handle, I think the Stones would have been great doing it as a cover.

That was beautiful. I know the chords aren’t exactly YCAGWYW, but the solo was very much in the same feel that he used to do 45 years ago.
