Remixing Stones songs

Hello everyone!
I have heard a lot about people on this website who have made remixes of their favorite Stones songs. I have also heard a few very good ones, Jordylicks has a very good remix of Moonlight Mile on youtube. I would like to know what you use to make them.

I was just listening to The Last Time in the car and wishing they had mixed the drums higher.

Wow. This is a really great remix of MM. Confirms for me that MM is one of, if not the most beautiful song the Stones ever did. Thanks for the post.

Hi...
Does that mean you have the isolated tracks of Moonlight Mile?

No remixing without isolated tracks...

Doesn’t the master before it’s mixed have to be leaked to do this?

Yes it does. You'll need the isolated tracks.

That's not really a remix, since it was not made from the multitracks. It's the regular, commercial stereo version with the level of the right channel brought down and everything folded into mono.

Hi everyone, yes, my remixes are technically not true remixes because I do not have the master tracks. To me though, I call them my own self-remixes for fun. I use a program called "AUDACITY" Very easy to find and you can play around with the tracks including pitches, tempo, speed. With MM, I did remove the right channel and my screen recorder folded it into mono.

Wow- I don’t have my nice Bose headphones so just playing through my phone and it sounded really fantastic! I will listen to the whole thing later. To think we have come to the point where a simple computer program can help us remix songs to sound like we want them to sound!

You can find stems from some RS songs that come from RockBand: Pib, sftd, gs and htw mostly... I also stumbled into a full 48 tracks pack of Love Is Strong which is great fun. You can find it on the trade forum here.

I loved the Miss You, Harlem Shuffle, and You Got Me Rocking remixes.

Well .. These cannot be actual remixes. In order to mix or remix something one has to have access to the original individual tracks.

This is simply EQ-ing / readjusting EQ over all ... to the already mixed and mastered two channel stereo track and then running the whole thing through some time of processor or this procedure in reviers would be the best way. Not saying this isn't neat to do and not getting too technical but they are not remixes. This should be described as New EQ or Readjusted EQ .. or 'Alternate EQ'

super happpy with the classic original.
and some extended Mick Taylor leads that another great fan posted;
might've been kleermaker.
but i liked this a lot; it fascinated me to have other aspects of the
mix more prominent. The 'coversaton' between Taylor and Charlie is pretty
impressive. Charlie is playing thoughtfully and beautifully.

a brilliant version; a Textbook example of a super, super lead vocal performance.
What a sensitive ensemble; lead drums with all those resonant sustaining toms
responding to Anything but that 'Doodling,' stuff that some fans lurv to bitch about...
... by the brilliant lead guitarist of The Rolling Stones at that time.
