It's his favourite song to play, isn't it? And if he botches the opening riffs, which he's so well known for, it must kill him inside. That the arthritis effects him, or the years of drug abuse, whatever - he is proud of his music and he wants to perform it well. I can see him being bummmed out and not getting back into the song for a bit. I've seen him many times do that,

Unfortunately, I've been unable to feel anything good about the performance. I've listened many times; my wife says it's like watching a train wreck! Mick's vocals are quite bad, blah blah blah...especially the verse "love is the way they say..." He's so out of key and unemotional; probably trying to read the teleprompter and not focused on dancing and running

I love the Stones. But the overall issue is their lack of desire. The Stones weren't into Sway. If you want to perform a song that every fan wants to hear, then practice it, perfect it, play your butt off and get the high musicians look for. Turning on the fans, & amazing them with a recreation of a true gem should be the high, not a bottle of vodka and a case of beer. Mick did

This has been one of the most interesting collection of thoughts and comments by true Stones fans. It is great to hear the opinions from those in their twenties, to us old guys in their forties. There is nothing like great guitar sounds from Keef & Ronnie coming at you in MSG, the same venue I saw the New Barbarians, Led Zep & the Who in the 70's. The Stones recreation of songs d

From the loyal fans point of view, we would rather not see the Stones in football stadiums anymore. It's amazing concerts even made it there, considering they're the worst possible place for good accoustics. I often find myself detatched from the show, watching the band on a large monitor. Keith once remarked how those damm Eastern winds took his guitar chops from the Meadowlands dow

Alot can be said about this topic. I've been to over 60 Stones shows since '72; love them to death (yeah, fanatic) for many years, and enjoyed their under-par albums. Ironically they should realize something from the Black Crowes or Bob Dylan and just perform whatever songs they happen to be into. Turn it into a New Barbarians show, complete with Ronnie doing a song or two. Unf
