the stones tour has been great,iv'e seen 3 shows already.garden 9/13,giant stadium,9/15,and last night in phillie 10/10.the stellar show was msg hands down, they were on fire and played flawlessly, giant stadium great show and last night both great and slopppy, but my point is at both giant stadium and phillie keith appears to have botched up the jumping jack flash intro then just not play for the next minute or so,he seemed lost and in phillie never really played lead.most every other song he was great.sympathy solo last night was on fire,as most other solo's he played, anyone at both of these shows notice this, and can anyone explain.whats up with jumping jack flash?

maybe he's more inspired playing the newer material...maybe jumpin jack is stale for him (though thats hard to believe)...but if anybody played the same song live for 36 years its very possible...best wishes

I read in the Philadelphia Enquirer the next morning that they weren't supposed to play Satisfaction as the last song of the nite after YCAGWYW, so Keith was right, but the band followed Mick on Satisfaction, and Mick had to give a visual "sorry" to Keith on stage.

No JJF problems in Virginia or Durham to report.

It's his favourite song to play, isn't it? And if he botches the opening riffs, which he's so well known for, it must kill him inside. That the arthritis effects him, or the years of drug abuse, whatever - he is proud of his music and he wants to perform it well. I can see him being bummmed out and not getting back into the song for a bit. I've seen him many times do that, and head back to Charlie to regroup.
