QuoteMidnightPeanut Yep, it is a favorite of mine. I've even used portions of it as the soundtrack to edited home videos of the kids when they were small. That's a good idea!! Thanks!

The personnel on this made me think, maybe it is a group of musicians, engineers producer's and such that had something magic chemistry.Beause in one form or another they made some of the most appealing music for me. Combos that are in the Stones,Faces,Who Zeppelin and more. I don't see that kind of musical comorodaree anymore.

A lot of people have commented (including myself) on Chuck Levall piano tinker plink piano playing gives the Stones a Vegas like sound. What about Keith and his guitar tone? It is been a clean Styrofoam kinda sound, since 1986 He needs to get it dirty. P'S - Chuck piano still is the main offender no pun intended.

QuoteDreamer QuoteMingSubu I'm curious, did the cigarette pack sell? Lots of them. Sold as 'the cigarettes smoked by JH'... One of those... But don't forget he was a very good friend and the book "was never about making money; I gave it all away, quite a bit of it to various old friends of Jimi who were in need." Gave it all away OK that's verifiable..

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteBliss Not as far as we know, Mr P. They are just past employees who have publicised their connections to the Stones. But the past and present insiders who do post - James Phelge, D and G and some others - are open about their connections, verifiable, modest, and do not insult others or tell them that they are not qualified to express an opinion. Hey! "Mr. P&

Quotestonesrule Sorry to see this thread meant to be about Ian Stewart abruptly turn into something quite different. Despite the haters' comments about me in the past few hours, Stu was my friend and I was his friend and admirer. If you don't believe it or don't like it, just piss off. QuoteDoomandGloom QuoteBliss Doom and Gloom, what did you do for them?I was an assistant engineer for a freelance producer. We did re-mixes, single and alternate radio versions. I had the chore of overdubs on weekends. I recall my first job with them was Keith playing for Earl Slick and the last was something on Steel Wheels with some crazy drums from Africa, Over that period I maybe did 10 se

Quotestonesrule Jealousy is a wasted emotion. SLANDER -- to make false and damaging statements -- is a serious legal matter. My book on Jimi Hendrix was thoroughly vetted by top lawyers in New York and London. As were a series of tapes recorded by Hendrix and me, at his request, over a two year period. I waited some thirty years after his death to write the book becquerel it was such
