"Keith if your watching I will see you in the studio tomortudio row" Hmm.. cryptic. I hope they aren't arguing again. Doesn't "row" mean fight or something?

Still no sign of Vinyl at Amazon US. Weird, since every previous one has been available. Hopefully things will change before release day. I guess importing it is an option but I have no idea about shipping cost...

A lot of the disagreements here seem to be due to the fact that there are factions, or cohorts, or generations, or whatever, of Stones fans posting. There are a few who have been there since Brian was a big deal, and there are a few more who started following the band in 1969 or 1972/73. The majority of posters here seem to have caught on around 1981. There are some GenXers like me who started fo

Whenever I post, it tends to kill the thread. It's uncanny, really. It will drop off the first page in no time. For that reason, I don't post much. I like to think of it as the final word. Maybe that's what Mick meant by "Sharks Will Cry".

QuoteLeonidP ** -- Edit ** exceptions are always there, of course. I agree with many, the all time worst Stones lyric is "sharks will cry" I resent that remark.

I think most are surprisingly great and fit the theme. Voodoo Lounge seems like a love it or hate it around here, based on the comments. Undercover has got to be the strangest one, and you better believe I peeled off those stickers...and then you open it to find the Japanese painting/satin theme which seems to have nothing to do with the music. As for the Nazi theme, there are also some very w

re: This Place Is Empty, I remember being disappointed at first listen (another slow one by Keith...) but it has grown on me, as has everything else. Blinded by Love should replace Terrifying on that list, but I don't think I've seen anyone admit they like it.

Kind of similar to overrated/underrated, I'll admit. There are the usual suspects like Streets of Love or Indian Girl, where I see some reasoning is involved, even if I disagree, but sometimes the musical tastes within the Stones canon by the folks here leave me scratching my head. I'll confine myself to songs done by the current band lineup (Black and Blue to now) to minimize "per

Just for completion's sake, But Naked = Stripped. How this has not come up is bizarre, especially since there was just a thread dedicated to it (maybe it was a given).

I've been wondering about this "sped up" stuff for awhile (not that I've decided to investigate it further than I'm doing right now), but if I can't do it, somebody will. Is or is not the sped up version exclusive to PAL (European) copies of the movie (or copies of that)? I never noticed any speed problem on my VHS NTSC copy. I'm only mentioning this because

QuoteJMARKO This album sounds like it was recorded under a blanket! Can never get any SOUND out of it. I can't believe this is so rarely pointed out. Yeah, the production is horrible on IORR. It sounds like they muffled everything with that netting they were wearing on the Goat's Head Soup pictures. If it only had the stunning crystal clear sound of Black and Blue (the very next albu

It's a free for all, man. The moderator's taking a well deserved post-tour vacation and thus not watchin'. We're on our own, and this whole place is up for grabs. You could steal City Hall (or talk s$%t about Matt Clifford).

I've never seen this discussed. When was the last print issue? Is it the one with Keith on the cover as displayed here? Was it like Bill German's Beggars Banquet? Did BV put this out himself? I seem to remember seeing contents listed on this board for upcoming issues, but I was an Undercover mailing list kind of guy at the time (never thought the Web would take off), so I didn'

Yeah, I agree. I was going to mention Stripped when I saw the thread, but looks like you got it in. SFM is one of those songs that is capable of coming alive vs. the studio version, which I never really thought much of.

Definitely Keith! Can't wait for the album. Elements of You Got it Made, Eileen, One More Shot, and Can't You Hear Me Knocking (middle guitar break right before sax comes in on CYHMK).

I QuoteNaturalust I'm just hoping we get a proper DVD/CD release of this soon because I'm just getting too spoiled to subject my ears to bad sounding audio, no matter what the content is or the quality of the performance. SF is one of my all time favorite records and this is difficult to resist. I don't think you can go wrong for $10, no matter how brickwalled and muddy the mix.

I'm using Chrome but I don't have a shield icon but instead a padlock. Perhaps this is virus checker plugin-dependent (I'm using Avast, for example). Even when setting permissions to allow media, etc, it still does not work...

QuoteMrThompsonWooft I just want to buy it on CD. Maybe burning the thing to a CD as a temporary bridge to owning the pressed product might be an option. We are certainly getting this much earlier this way. I will definitely pick it up on vinyl (if that happens).

QuoteMuddyw Would love to buy this live album, but the one thing on iTunes I can't stand is the limit on payment methods. Here in The Netherlands we are used to pay by bank immediately (IDEAL). Mayby it is possible with the Click And Buy payment method, but then again that would be a detour! Hate it when everything is about creditcards! Are debit cards (a.k.a. check cards) not used in

I'm halfway through and just floored. My only regret as I sit here listening to Moonlight Mile is that I "saw"* them perform it in Dallas 3 weeks ago. If the show was half as good as the Fonda show I really missed out. How certain posters can completely dismiss the performance here is beyond me (blinded (deafened?) by bias or hopefully just messing with us?). I never would have

I agree with that. My only complaint is with the sound at my location (and the view). It looks like it was a fantastic show, and I was in the building, but not really present.

I was at the 50 yard line about 10 rows from the top, Ron's side. The sound was completely unacceptable way up there, and I should have known it going in, but I was hoping for the best with the new venue and all, but to no avail. Add to that the huge screen not being used. The sound was so muddy and boomy that I had trouble figuring out what song they were playing. You could not hear individ

I hated the Cowboys for many years, but I married into it, which pretty much makes me a fan. However, that goes both ways, so my wife is now a de facto Stones fan. It's all about compromise.

Does anyone have any clue whether they will utilize the giant screen (i.e., has this been used in other big shows at AT&T)?

Strangely, I have yet to hear SFM, so I'll have to go with the so-called warhorse of the lot. Rocks Off and Respectable would be nice, but they never do those well these days. Then again I haven't seen Heartbreaker since VL.
