Wait, how do you keep non-IORR people from bribing their way in and depriving a deserved fan of their seat if the show is sold out?

QuoteHairball Seriously, this has become the inquisition of onlystones with a mob mentality. Who really gives a crap whether he was there or not? After reading his detailed adventure, I can only hope he was... The only fishy thing I noticed was when he reported wanting to go home and blast the UMG Some Girls remaster. I don't know if I can believe that someone would do that. Other than t

QuoteNikkei The YCAGWYW intro even features faint residue of Midnight Rambler on the left. This is interesting. Not knowing much about recording, I'm guessing this is caused by a different process than "bleeding" (where you get sound leakage to an adjacent microphone), but instead to the physical properties of magnetic tape, with the tape being recorded over or only partially er

QuoteNaturalust After that the stereo master is taken to a mastering lab for the magic process which creates the best sounding result for whatever format they are mixing for. That process is probably beyond the scope of your question. I was wondering about the mastering process in particular: Is it possible, then, that the Stones can go back to the saved mixes of some of these terribly compres

Working on an assembly line, maybe? Kind of like Let it Rock but inside the factory instead of out in the railyard. I'm thinking a beer bottling plant.

I missed '89, but I agree about subsequent tours up until A Bigger Bang. The VL tour in particular seemed to have that sterile vibe (1994 at least). I saw a surprisingly good show in 2005 with upfront guitars. Based on the reports from the ongoing mini-tours, I'm certainly looking forward to seeing them next week after almost 8 years.

I could add some tasty adjectives but I think you all know what they are. grinning smiley But I guess once you've crossed that boundary, it gets easier every time...eye popping smiley I can just imagine this guy throwing money at Mick to get him to sing I Got The Blues to his wife while peeli

I never would have guessed that they would do the whole album but in a different order! Is that really the 8 track order or is he joking? Guess they felt it would flow better with BS at the end.

You do have to be more careful with vinyl. I think the major concern is to avoid scratching them with the stylus causing skips, repeats, or clicks on subsequent listens. It takes quite a few plays to wear them out (in my experience Stones records may be more more prone to this phenomenon ). I've really enjoyed listening to vinyl records. Beyond the warmth of the sound, I get more out of

QuoteKoen It's probably better that you go back to lurking (Toxic stoner perma-grin) Nice welcoming attitude you have there. I agree with the OP to a point. I'd love to see him on backup vocals at least. Ronnie's songwriting skills are probably better than M&K combined at this point, so I'd sure like to see some contributions if they ever get around to doing an albu

QuoteDREAMTIME The good seats at Milwaukee are the only ones on this tour that are covered in case of rain and it's the smallest venue with a better configuration than a sports stadium Not to tout the virtues of AT&T/Cowboys stadium (too big for me but my only choice), but rain isn't a concern there, either.

QuoteNauralust I have to say it but I believe sobriety is probably one of the issues affecting Taylor. That Keith could refer to that possibility as "sick" is a bit of a puzzler but it could be Keith is just mirroring what he was told. I'd rather hold Jane Rose responsible for Keith's lack of solid information at this point. grinning smiley Taylor admitted the Stones requir

I got nosebleeds but dead on the 50 yard line. I would not have pulled the trigger on those but a) I was not available to get the tix when presale opened and resorted to having my wife try, and b) I insisted that my 6 year old son should go, so we had to get 4 seats together. She ended up not pulling up anything at all on ticketmaster and had to try StubHub. So considering those big potential
