Nope, but thanks, Naturalust. The one I'm thinking of shows five or six officials on a staircase
with crowds of admirers admiring them on either side. Once you see it it's really clear
that it's what Peelleart used as the basis for the IORR cover.

Love to see what Charlotte could do - suggest turn her loose, coached by Charlie, for the NEXT album cover!

My Favorites would be Their Satanic, Flowers, Love You Live and Aftermath.

Don't really like A Bigger Bang, Steel Wheels or No Security.

December´s Children, Sticky Fingers, Aftermath & Dirty Work are great, imo.

Most other covers are horrible in one way or another, especially Flashpoint, Live Licks, Some Girls.

Their Satanic Majesties Request is my favorite.

I also like Between The Buttons.

They had a missed opportunity with Beggar's Banquet.

Their golden 4 record covers are great and AfterMath.
I don't like their last 4 last covers and No Security FlashPoint (Dirty Work isn't that bad they did go back in time to put all of them on the cover).....
And I never understood to release a Stones record with only Mick Jagger on front Tatoo You and Goats Head Soup

between the buttons, for the action of panning the camera to create blur in places but not in others.

beggars banquet is a good cover too.

lol i forgot about the flashpoint cover.
there are actually so many bad covers, and so many good ones. i think maybe this is because you have to be willing to take a risk on a creative cover and sometimes it pays off big time, and sometimes not so much.

Best Hard not to like that 3-D cover.

Obviously love Sticky Fingers and Exile. Let It Bleeds pretty cool. And I always loved the bathroom Beggars Banquet. I love It's Only Rock 'n' Roll - think its an awesome painting. I don't mind Goats Head Soup. I guess surprisingly compared to others, but I kind of like Undercover's cover. Unfortunately the Stones have been on a roll of awful covers ever since Undercover. Perhaps GRRR and Bridges are the worst....

Reading through it...can't believe the difference of opinions of Stones fans on their like and dislike of the album covers.

Makes you question why you question the Stones thinking?

Seems like they always hit a nerve with somebody.

I still think 40 Licks and Flashpoint are horrible.

I'm the one who "pulled it out of the trash bin", Pecman - I had a cover-related question,
and as you see the subject hasn't reached its best-by date.

I'm charmed that people seem to have forgotten how much they hated the GRRR cover when it came out.
But my favourite covers have evocative photos of the band: Black & Blue, Between the Buttons, both Aftermaths
The banquet hall shot inside Beggars would be the hands-down winner if they'd used it as the cover

Most of the covers thru Some Girls are very good.

I don't mind the Bridges cover. It has some thought put into it plus the cd has the plastic overlay which is different.

Charlie's Grandaughter should design the next cover!! It should have a psychedelic vibe or even three different covers for the collector in us.

I think most are surprisingly great and fit the theme. Voodoo Lounge seems like a love it or hate it around here, based on the comments. Undercover has got to be the strangest one, and you better believe I peeled off those stickers...and then you open it to find the Japanese painting/satin theme which seems to have nothing to do with the music.

As for the Nazi theme, there are also some very weird pictures in David Dalton's The First Twenty Years. It may have turned some heads then, but if somebody did that now their career would most likely go kaput.
