I went to the Shepherds Bush show and left feeling underwhelmed. Just thought they were bang average. No band energy even though the set list was sort of half decent Bob Geldof stood with me during the 2nd half of the gig having spent the 1st half up in the balcony.I remember some crowd trouble between the punters & the film crew right at the end of the show which livened up proceedings.

Back in the late 70's Roy Carr used to put together tapes for me of rare Stones stuff in return for decent bottles of wine. A fair exhange I thought. He invited me down to the NME offices in Csrnaby Street to spend a day with him. Lovely man and great journalist. Extremely well respected in the music business.Nothing was too much trouble. Another very sad loss.

Steve bailed me out when I was skint by giving me a very generous price for some Stones boots I needed to off load a bit sharpish. Boy could that guy consume Red Wine & Marlboro Red's. A larger than life character that's for sure. All round good guy. Gonna be missed.

I am having a real problem downloading the show. My archive account says it can be downloaded now but when I click on it the download launcher screen does not respond. Its just a blank screen with a red x in the top left hand corner. Anyone else having issues downloading or is there something I am missing???

Stones on the Road captures the band perfectly. If you dig the band then this is a must see. Its only 30 mins but it makes you feel what life on the road in 76 must have been like and it was an end of a era for them. Stones tours would never be the same again. The live & backstage footage is incredible. I was at Leicester and Thames TV filmed both nights. There must be some great footage stas

I was at both Leicester shows on the 14th & 15th May and I can confirm 100% that Clapton played on the 15th. He joined the Stones mid-set for Key to the Highway and came back for the last 3 numbers. These were 2 wild shows in a real barn of a place. I think the Thames TV footage 'Stones on the Road' bears this out.
