What I’ve observed is what happens every time for first party ticketing. Platinum prices drop until they become “Standard admission”. Platinum pricing is their get out of jail free card to change prices but I’ve never seen the so-called standard prices drop even further.

What they are doing is much worse than out and out scalping IMO. At least the secondary market is a straightforward what-you-see-is-what-you-get proposition. The inventory manipulation has been going on forever to a degree but I think this one really takes the cake. I can’t see how there won’t be thousands more tickets dropping later in the game than in past tours.

QuoteNellcote1971My assuption is they are all the same mastering. So it's more a question of pressing quality, vinyl condition etc. I love the MO pressing (my PR and RI are very similar though), the UK sounds maybe just a bit hotter but that's completely subjective... Some suggest that the UK are "first" pressings as they don't have any numbers or letters added in the

Never heard a UK Artisan and I’ve heard they sound especially good, but I’m not sure how they could be better than a US Artisan. I have a first press Monarch and first and second presses from other US cutting houses (Specialty and/or Presswell from memory) and they all sound sorta the same to me. Is the UK Artisan a unique mastering?

Quotetreaclefingers So just out of curiosity, I'm wondering why you both think there are so many tickets that are "held back". I'm not disputing that, just wondering why you think they feel there is a reason to do it. I'd guess maybe a few for marketing/friends...but not "the majority" or even a lot. If so, what is the reason? Yeah, I’m not one to try to

The ticket availability looks sparser than usual. Do we expect that this reflects actual availability? I didn’t even bother with the on sale dates because I always get screwed, so for the past couple years I’ve been waiting until the few weeks leading up the the show when the packages changed to normal price. But I just looked and there’s not much of anything anywhere. Just wondering what you all

QuoteIrix Quotejoshbg2k Wondering if anyone knows how much they are, and if I might possibly arrange to purchase one. It's a sweepstake: "Now is your chance to enter to win your very own John Pasche signed print!" You can also buy an original John Pasche artwork at: . “Award-winning graphic designer John Pasche has produced and hand signed a limited edition of 60 silk

I see there is a new print by John Pasche available now at the store on Carnaby. Wondering if anyone knows how much they are, and if I might possibly arrange to purchase one. They are in-person only, and I am across the pond in the US, so we would need to arrange shipping. If anyone is willing to help we can discuss how I can repay you for the effort.

They are offset lithographs - a mechanical process that allows for large, fast print runs. It’s the same process used to create most “posters”. Except for a number there is no difference between the posters sold at the show and the ones sold online. Anything can be numbered. A number alone does not suggest anything about how a print was made. These are most definitely not serigraphs (fancy word f

While I agree with daspy and the notion that an app is not and likely will never be needed, I do believe a few small changes to the forum would make it a lot easier to read on mobile devices, which is where I almost exclusively read this board. I am a web engineer and would be happy to donate some time if the inclination is there.

QuoteChesterMixing up the setlist is great. The surprise is a huge part of the experience. I just question what they mixed it up with. For the greatest band of all-time winding it down, likely the last time they play in the U.S., certainly the last time they play in Tampa, not to mention there are only a couple of spots where they can add something different, there are a lot better doable optio

One thing I worry about is that everyone is going to have their phones up the whole time. It’s just the way it is with these exclusive shows now. Take me back to the beacon before the smart phone. Those were the days. Even Ronnie in London a couple years ago was spoiled by phones in the air the entire show. They need to get us die bards in there who will focus on the show.

Quoteloog droog Years ago we went on a pilgrimage to Austin just to see Ian McLagan at the Lucky Lounge. What an apt name, I thought, as I casually watched the show on a couch at the front of stage just feet away from the man. On that day Mac and the Bump Band conjured the sound and spirit of Faces. No other members were needed. I'm a Ronnie Lane fan too, but I think that McLagan

QuoteDougratajczak87 Outside of festivals, it’s likely up to the individual artists. Only way Tour doesn’t go forward imo is if Stones decide not to due to potential PR backlash. Or if cities and counties start placing limits on the size of public gatherings, like they did last year.

If you hold out for one with postcards you'll be waiting a for quite a while if you want an affordable copy. I've only seen one in 12 years that wasn't marked way up for being complete. If you're buying it to listen to, rather than just collect, follow the above advice and find an Artisan copy, with or without postcards.

I was lucky to be in London 2 years ago on opening day of the first Mondo Scripto exhibit, and was able to get one of the prints at the introductory price. I’m not sure I’d go as high as they’re asking now, but they are beautiful quality and hand signed.

QuoteBig Al Interesting to note that he’s not a U.S. citizen. I’d have thought he’d have acquired it and become a ‘dual-national’, just like so many of his U.S.-based British contemporaries: Ozzy, Peter Frampton, etc. He didn’t say that specifically did he? I would imagine he does have dual citizenship.
