Actually the 'mistake' in Brown Sugar was not entirely Keith's. Surely the stretch between his second and third chords strokes is particularly lazy (which doesn't sound like a mistake but rather a part of Keith playing with the groove), but since there actually three more syncopathed strokes before the drums enter on count three it's actually Charlie who turns around the
