I was buying and taping to cassette a lot of the new stuff during the 70s. However, from the 90s up to now, I`ve become much more fond of the 60s, which I only remember as a child. What was then happening in music, to me was only something I recognized in the side mirror. However, you could say the seed was sawn.

By 1973 we are inevitably way into the 70s, and neccesarily, the music will reflect this. Then comes the question; do you like it? The music has changed. Of course there are both "Dark Side of The Moon", "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Alladin Sane", and well, I like it, but the "long hair, T-shirt and denim thing" was no longer so appearent in music. Pink

At least there are 4 albums I remember as a letdown; "Brain Salad Surgery" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, "A Passion Play" by Jethro Tull, "Who Do We Think We Are" by Deep Purple and "Houses of The Holy" by Led Zeppelin.

Likewise, would you think that the once smooth crooner Bryan Ferry was the Dylan kind? In 2008 he released "Dylanesque", to big disappointment for many fans. That harmonica! Where`s the synth?

It`s remarkable convincing as rock and roll. It sounds great. I gave it a new listen some years ago, but found out I couldn`t listen to this. Dead Babies, it`s morbid. I really didn`t know back then that Desperado was about Jim Morrison. When Alice sings those verses, he sounds just like him. However, something about this album isn`t right.

Quotecaschimann And as we are all older now we perform, act, behave different as well. One of the changes is that many people are not in that euphoric, great, relaxed mood like they were as teens, twens, thirty or even forty-somehings. Getting older with all the consequences makes you angry from time to time. You see the world clearer and not through rainbow glasses. Interesting points. Re

Quoteshawnriffhard1I was first aware of it as a 9-10 y.o. on that 1976 double Best of album, culled from the Mercury albums and singles. Does kids listen to rock? At least not me. I didn`t bother before I ws 15-16 years old.

"The demographic they attract". -A risky matter to go into. Music for people who don`t like music. A couple of the ballads have such a worn concept that a lot of songs through the years probably sound similar. I will keep a long distance to this album. -Have never been an Abba fan in the first place, but I like "Soldiers", "Eagle" and Frida`s "To Turn The Stone&

Unsurprisingly, there are songs that I like, and not like. "No Doubt About It", uh, some people like this song. This is Abba by numbers. Unsurprisingly, I like "Don`t Shut Me Down". "Keep An Eye on Dan" was a pleasant surprise. Thumbs up for "I Still Have Faith in You" too. "Little Things"; -Mmm, not good at all, and I don`t like the swing

Oh, yes I have listened and listened to both my old "Absolutely Live" 2LP and that "Alive She Cried" from the 80s. Their rendition of "Gloria" really gave me nothing. After a while, this album didn`t get played by me at all, despite interesting versions of "You Make Me Real","Texas Radio and The Big Beat" and "Moonlight Drive", as my gen
