QuoteDoxa QuoteDandelionPowderman Boogie with a-chord. Looking good You are sure that the guitar is normally tuned, not, say, a half key up or down? But yeah, looking good! - Doxa Prolly playing the hollow body in standard : )

There are a fair number of artists who seem to find writing and recording rewarding enough to keep doing it without regard to commercial or cultural impact (Paul Simon, Neil Young) and others, like the Stones, who seem to need the culture and the marketplace to be interested for them to continue.

QuoteHairball One of the most unoriginal bands that has ever existed IMO- from to the way they steal other bands riffs, to the way they dress, to the way the singer poses. Sure there's a few decent/listenable tunes, but generally I see them as the precursor to retro-ripoff bands such as Wolfmother, The Darkness, and Greta Van Fleet, etc. You mean like the Stones trying to be bluesmen and

Mick was so prolific: Undercover (1983) She's the Boss (1985) Dirty Work (1986) Primitive Cool (1987) Steel Wheels (1989) Wandering Spirit (1993) Voodoo Lounge (1994) Bridges (1997) Doorway (2000) Alfie (2004) Bang (2005) 11 studio albums in 22 years, plus some odds and sods. I can't believe that in the *16* years since, all we've gotten is SuperHeavy, England L

Quote24FPS QuoteBig Al Quoteaudun-eg You can see here that he plays two strings tuned so that he easily can play the boogie figure without having to stretch his fingers. I seem to remember Wyman himself stating in an interview that he couldn't really play the guitar other than some strumming in some open tunings. That surprises me, as I've always been under the impression that mos

They all sort of happened at the right time. Taylor had great chops, but Woody needed to come in to hold the band together. Bill was a great player but his heart wasn't into it anymore and Darryl brought a more energetic presence as they passed 50. Brian was fired at the right time for MT to create SF and EOMS.

QuoteGasLightStreet Was it in ROLLING STONE that Mick talked about the cage and mentioned a lamp in the first few shows of the BRIDGES tour? Can't find anything. I was at the second night of B2B in Chicago and don't remember a lamp. I remember that the bridge wasn't working yet. I also remember they had a cool video playing on the screen during YGMR that was dropped because YGM

Blows my mind that Steel Wheels is farther in the past now than 1962 was at the time Steel Wheels happened.

Still mystified, Everything Is Turning to Gold was left off Some Girls (to say nothing of Start Me Up lol) instead of Lies, which is a bit of clunker imo.

Quotestraycatuk All of Talk is Cheap is a better Stones album . A Main Offender and Wandering Spirit mix would have been better than Voodoo Lounge as long as the drums were re recorded by Charlie. sc uk This is the correct take

Seems like a bit of pandering with the "milennial whoop" in the Oh Oh Ohhh section, but overall nicely produced with some good things in it. Reminds me a bit of "Laugh, I Nearly Died" but not quite as successful as that track. Hope we get some more!

They probably peaked in 1995, although 1990 they played pretty darn well too (especially Keith)

Quotejumpontopofmebaby My favorite tour hands down was Voodoo Lounge. However out of all the 25 plus Stones shows I have seen Columbia Mo on that tour was by far my worst Stones show ever. But on the other hand Little Rock was amazing! And I agree Sparks Will Fly great live My first of 14 shows was the Mizzou show. I was just happy to see them at all at that point, but upon reflection I t

The Beatles were probably more influential and important, but I prefer the Stones (although both are great). There's no "right" answer but people will go on acting like there is.

It'll burn itself out at a certain infection rate. * US mortality is almost certainly significantly less than .5% given all the undiagnosed cases - less than 1,000 deaths while potentially millions infected * Germany at .41% mortality p

8-12 weeks is a long time given the very drastic measures being taken at the moment. If this virus is seasonal and fades in warm weather (unknown), it's POSSIBLE the June & July dates could happen. (If it's like 1918, it will fade in Summer and come back even worse in the Fall.)

Quotestickyfingers101 Quotechris girard How are you folks doing across the pond in Europe. I live outside DC and we are pretty much shut down. Stores have a lot of empty shelves, and for some reason toilet paper is in short supply, people are hording it,which is pretty crazy. I was out at the grocery the other day, managed to get the food I needed without any difficulty. Stopped at wine store
