Civilisation is fragile even in the most developped countries. I fully agree with people saying that all these lootings didn't occur in the countries devastated by the Tsunami. In fact it's was the opposite ,everybody was desperately trying to help each other. What's going wrong with our so called developped societies? Reminds me of Mad Max or Waterworld. Scary!

Start me up : even if I don't like very much that song ,the riff is just fantastic. Honky Tonk Women:my first Stones memory as a kid.My elder brother brought back the single from London (YCAGWYW as a B side) just upon the release. Brown Sugar :you must be a genious under the influence of pretty good stuff to write such an intro. CYHMK: prelude to the hard rock era. Satisfaction : as fam

If my understanding of english is correct, keith has made it very clear in his interviews. This new tour is not going to be like the Licks tour when they visited their repertoire thru four decades as a kind of 40th anniversary celebration. My feeling is that this time they will play lesser different songs compared to the previous tour and will emphasize more on their new album. It doesn't m

I remender not so long ago when Beatles 'LP's were destroyed in the streets like an autodafe ,when blues composers were not selling any albums ,when Chuck Berry was jailed for petty issues, when the Stones were playing in empty venues and being riculised on national TV. Please stay back T&A they desesperately need you!

I am not posting on RS versus NFL but replying directly to 4tylicks. Your comments about France in general and censorship in particular are getting onto my nerves. Where do you get your information from ?Have you ever visited this country? I have been travelling to the USA for many long years now.Going there once every two months.Because you live there you don't notice the changes but f

Can't agree with you Virgil. Satisfaction ,All down the line, get off of my cloud,Happy,Midnight Rambler etc.. all three chords songs. This is not the number of chords which makes a good song but the riff and the energy which are pumped into it!

To Dennysmith61 Sorry ,I fully disagree. The Versailles treaty pressurised so much(economically ,financially, politically) Germany that the germs of WWII were already (indirectly) included in the treaty. That was a big mistake but French suffered so much on their own soil during WWI(if you travel down to Europe ,go to Verdun you'll understand better what I mean)that they wanted to preven

Could you please be more specific. What does it mean ? Europe, sorry Old Europe ... never learned from Chamberline ( guess you're talking bout Chamberlain). French never learned from the Versailles treaty. Don't really get it!

Agree ,in Hyde Park the guitars are out of tune however the sound and the song's structure are very close to the studio .It has never occured since.

351. Re: HTW
The closest rendition,IMO, to the studio version is the one played at Hyde Park in July 69. As far as Gimme shelter is concerned I found some live versions( 'stripped companion' for example) from the Stones or from The X Winos (Boot:'time is on my side') as interesting as the studio version.

The first 6 are good questions Bruno .The rest is rather personnal ,is it? I would add some more. - Sir ,could you get your lead guitar player to practise his solos? - When are you going to satisfy you hard core fans supporting you for so many years and play jewels like Jigsaw puzzle, soul survivor ,sway .....? - who killed the Kennedys?

I also fully agree .'Bridge' has been underated and Saint of me and Out of control are truly Stones 'classics. The way they have been able to develop both songs on stage has always reminded me of Midnight rambler or street fighting man late 60's early 70's. Eric

I am pretty new in this forum (only 2 posts so far). I'm turning 44 and I have been milked by the Stones since my childhood. My older brother was playing the early albums and one of the first LP's which was offered to me was Sticky Fingers.Since then I have always bought their albums on the very date of their release and I am still doing it. I have countless bootlegs ,videos ,DVD'

Midnight rambler .Not a single doubt about it! It's a pure jam session,a blues improvisation lead by Keith (he's got to focus and can't afford to pose). If somebody asks me to synthetise the RS 'music in one song it would be MR.
